Great Bike But Had To Return
Reading the 1 star reviews I don't agree with any of them. The battery lasts fairly long and can last longer if you don't always have it on full blast! The bike has fast pick up and it goes around 18 miles an hour, not 11. The folding is very easy and I guess it's heavy but it's also a solid bike with a frame that's literally a handle so I felt moving it around and folding it was very easy. Meaning, this bike was designed with commuting in mind and is very effective. I had a folding bike before and this one is easier. I love the headlight and it's a comfortable ride. The bike is useable without power BUT the small wheels limit the amount of joy in riding it without power. The gears help a little but small wheels are small wheels. No matter how many gears you stick on it, you'll only go so far per rotation so it only goes so fast. I felt the ride on full throttle was comparable to an e-scooter. Oh and it will get you up a very steep hill. You can also use the peddling to compensate if the hill is super steep. I rode it up the side of a mountain road. WHY did I return it and only give it four stars? Brakes squeak like crazy. Support told me ways to adjust but I don't want a new bike that I had to fix. If the next one squeaks I like the bike enough that I'll keep it and work through the squeak but that was a real bummer. Other than that I really like it. Another bonus is that the battery and light are built into the frame so nobody can really steal anything off you. Again, they thought of a lot to make this a great commuter bike. Update--got a new bike and the brakes do not squeak! So I was sent a bad bike. Update 2--two years later. Added a bike rack for a saddle bag and also a post for a trailer/and a bike trailer. Both of them work well with the bike. The bike was getting flats more than normal so my bike guy put in that no flat foam (green) and I haven't had flat in over a year of daily use. Brakes will go every five months. This might have to do with the fact that I am always driving this on high speed and the brakes have to slow it down. Other than that I still think it's a great bike. I would like maybe a bike with bigger wheels but then it defeats the purpose of the small size. On that note I did buy a bag to put the bike in when it's folded, which is great for ubers and buses if anyone gives you any crap just say it's an English horn. And finally, I did have a battery issue which was making the bike jolt. Customer service walked me through what might be wrong. I bought a replacement battery and the problem went away. Customer service isn't bad. They guy on the phone just doesn't come off as chatty but he knows what you're talking about and will help you out. If you do need to send it back they will pay for delivery shipping after they fix it (post warranty) but not to send it to them. It's actually cheaper to ship to them then take it to a local place because many places don't have the parts for this bike. That being said, Swagtron does have parts issue if you have an older version of the bike. They released different types of these bikes but they look the same and are called the same model.

Fun and sturdy!
Beautiful well made bike. The color is amazing, it's even better in person. The bike is firm, comes mostly assembled. I had to put some air in the tires and make a small adjustment in the gear derailer due to a small clank noise when at the lowest gear. It's smooth as butter now. The headlight is very bright and great for night riding. The speed is great, I got close to 20mph with pedal assist and almost 19mph on throttle only. I'm 200lb! The bike is light and easy to carry and the folding mechanism is easy and intuitive. Great and fun bike!

Fraudulent Company & Bizzare Customer Service
First off, the bike is actually really cool. It’s small, fast, and easy to take into locations to prevent theft. However, the bike will break down within a year, and the customer service is extremely poor. My first bike broke down within a year, so I exchanged it for a new one. Unfortunately, the replacement also broke down. I can’t buy a replacement battery, and the brakes don’t work. It’s completely unreasonable for an $800 bike to fail so quickly, especially without any after-sales support. When I contacted their customer service about exchanging the bike through Amazon, in line with the warranty, they accused me of fraud. Uh, okay… hahaha.

Great intro to e bikes
This bike is awesome...a good introduction to e bikes. It is compact and powerful. If you get a flat and can't fix it you can call a share ride or friend and throw it in the trunk. Hills are a breeze at about 12-13 mph...Sometimes I use the bus and my eb-7 It usually is not in the way folded..some drivers give me a hard time when trying to take it on the bus so I have a strap and strap it down because the bus bike racks are for larger bikes and I would hate for it to fall off and get run over by the bus. The top speed for me is 19.5 on a fresh battery. Learning to conserve the battery is useful...switchig from 1 2 and 3 depending on the terrain and distance these are small batteries. Also having a backup battery is necessary. On the highest setting you will only get about 7-8 miles.a few minor issues would be the flimsy key to lock and unlock the battery..you can easily break the key if you are not paying attention and the lock sticks sometimes and I have to wiggle and move the lock before it will work. The inner tubes seem cheap..upgrading the inner tubes, tires and brakes pads and adding tire liners fenders and turn signals would be wise. If you are in poorly maintained streets, the small wheels will make for a rough ride..if you have smooth bike paths and streets, your commute will be fine.. my city has very rough streets and bike paths so it is a bumpy ride for sure, but the bike is holding up. After a month I notice that if I have half a battery on my main battery and turn it off...when I get back on and turn the bike on..it indicates a full charge...this seems odd but minor...after almost 400 miles I think the brakes are a bit soft and I have adjusted as much as I can the next pads will be upgraded. I've ridden in the rain through puddles..no issues...I suggest a bead of silicone around the seam of the controller and clear contact paper over the face of the controller. Also I try to protect to protect the throttle in rain. You will notice a few seams where the metal meets....I suggest using clear monster tape to aid in water resistance... actually clear tape on most of the bike will aid in stopping minor and moderate scratches. For my first e bike i am pleased and will upgrade to a larger bike due to the area.....get it make some modifications and enjoy it.

So Much Fun
This bike is more fun than functional, in my opinion. I love zipping up and down my street, or riding to the corner store for some cold ones instead of getting in the truck. As a daily commuter, I wouldn't buy it. The tires are very small, making it handle like a kick scooter with some pedals and a seat. The horn is not robust enough for traffic, it sounds like a power wheels toy horn or something you'd zip tie to your bicycle. It's funny as heck, riding by someone walking their dog and giving them a "meep meep" like some kinda ridiculous impersonation of Road Runner. The headlight is pretty nice. It's bright and sleek looking. There's an abundance of reflectors on the bike, but make sure they're all secured. One flew off while my kid was whipping around. Overall, this thing is a whopping riot of fun, I'll never regret the purchase. If, however, I were doing more than a mile to work daily, I'd rather have a regular adult size bicycle. Torque is great, as with any electrical motor. I'm 205 lbs and my neighbor is about 250 plus, it takes off effortlessly. Up small grades, it doesn't flinch. Speed setting 1 tops out at about 12 mph, setting 3 got me up to 18.5 mph. We messed around for an hour or so, taking turns and playing with the different features, and only lost a quarter of battery life. The paint job looks great, assembly was a breeze, it's lightweight and easy to store and transport. Fold it in half and throw it in the trunk in case of a breakdown, or just have a blast on your neighborhood block. I love it. Nuff said. On a sidenote, I'm saving all the packaging for a while in case of any issues. Other reviewers state that with any problems, even a flat tire, they want you to ship the entire product back in its original box. Happy Swagging!

2 year update
I am 5'1" so I only had a few options for an ebike. This is likely the best foldable, short person, cheapest option I found. It's a decent starter bike. I've since upgraded and I enjoy still having this for foldability and short trips. However if you don't need the extra shortness and foldability, there might be better other comparable bikes out there. Keep in mind, all the estimation features are optimal conditions and fresh new battery. Expect it do go about 15-16mph on average on flat road and about an 8 mile range after owning it for a bit. When I pass one of the speed readers, it's often consistently 2 miles higher than the reader but I'm not sure if they set the readers to read low or not. The stock battery lasted me 2 years and a few months. A replacement is about $130 currently (09/22). I'm mostly disappointed because the bike cost to gas saved ratio is still not even close to paying itself off. I got a flat on my back tire and while simply undoing a bolt, somehow it stripped the unit. I took it to a bike shop to retap it and they made a point to tell me what cheap metal it is after they fixed it. So, ya know, you get what you pay for. Attachments are extremely limited. I jerry rig a lot. It takes a few pettle revolutions before the pettle assist kicks in so I use the throttle a lot to get going. It also is not a good bike without charge. If I run too low on battery and turn it off, I know I'm expecting a long haul, hard push, exhausting work out that would *almost* be better dismounting and walking while pushing it. With a hard pettle on flat ground, I go about 4-5 miles per hour. However, it is very fun. It zips around easily and I like the extra get up and go with the throttle when I'm sharing the road with cars at intersections. It gets a lot of attention and I've had a lot of passerbyers compliment it. This is a great starting bike with low cost. If you need a small bike and have the option to charge frequently with short trips, this might be a great option for you.

EB7 Plus best value, lots of fun.
After just about a week with the EB7 Plus I must say that this bike is more than advertised. Beautiful color, changeable removable battery, 350 watt hub motor, folding and mine is quiet once gears were adjusted. Easy to ride for getting around, enjoying the outdoors. It is also a conversation piece as everyone wants to hear about what it is. I did have to spend some time to learn the pedal assists but lucky it has a "0" mode and just ride. Spent two days after getting a stand to adjust the gears as it came only really able to ride in the middle gears 2-5 and i definitely suggest to get the gears set up right ... I learned a lot and was relatively easy if you have the know how and bike tools with many Youtube videos to guide you. The replacement battery is essential for longer trips but due to the 7 gears still an easy ride home without power. Compared to the previous EB 7 or EB 5 with one gear, this is a definite plus. If you are looking for an ebike and are used to a multiple geared bike as it takes a little more maintenance, this is the bike for city flat roads or touring the neighborhood. Defiantly not robust for off road with the 16" rims. Folded this is a little heavy for me to use on a bus or train but many more great things out weigh this. This EB7 Plus has it all for me, my downside would be it does weigh a little heavy to bring on a bus or train. It does not roll easily folded but the other features for me out weigh these. If you ask me this is a great commuter fun time e bike for adults. I will enjoy this for sometime as well as enjoy its upkeep like a normal bike would take. Enjoy more the outdoors with zero carbon Plus lots fun. Thanks

Great E-bike for commuting and smooth riding
This bike is better than expected for the price. been using it to cumute aback and forth from work everyday since I got it. and its a 6 mile round trip for me and going up some decent sized hills her in south texas without any issues. and after putting a 100 miles on it in the two weeks I owned it. the bike has held up great with very little signs of wear and tear even on the tires considering some of the streets I ride on a a bit rough and I did take on a couple of bike trails and the bike has held up great. a few nice thing I like about it so far is the 7 speeds is gear nicely and the bike can be pedaled at a decent speed with out powered if needed, the front head light is handy for the early morning commutes as Leave home when its still dark out. and the head light is powerful enough too see everything in front of you. also the disc brakes is a great upgrade compared too my old eb-5 as the eb-7 is a faster e-bike and so far I didn't have too keep adjusting them like my older eb-5. also like the controller in this bike over the older eb-5 as on the eb-7 it applies power more gradually and don't have too worry about dumping full power all at once and doing a wheelie like you would with the older models like the eb-5. soo its all very ruggedly built and been very reliable so far. but over all its well with the money.
