Grant's Premium Haggis 392g - Pack of 2

I’ve never had Haggis in a tin before, but it wasn’t the right time of year to be finding it easily in the shop so I purchased these for a friend of mine who loves haggis. It was a very pleasant discovery to find out that it’s every bit as tasty as ordinary haggis, although it doesn’t come in a haggis shape so it’s kind of haggis contents without the haggis skin. In fairness, you don’t eat the skin anyway so the taste is pretty much the same. I really enjoyed these and I enjoyed being able to leave my French friend taste of Scotland in a convenient form. Recommend!

This haggis comes without casing, is just the insides in a tin. The haggis cooks so quickly in only 4 minutes in the microwave, and it's absolutely delicious. With three tins we fed a party of seven for Burn's night, and we still had some leftovers for pasta the next day. I'm getting hungry just thinking about how much I loved it!

I should start by saying that this is the first tinned haggis I have knowingly eaten. It was good and tasty and I would eat it again but to my mind it wasn't quite right in that there wasn't enough oats in it to give it the right texture.

Unable to find any other brands shipping to Greece, I chose this product for a Burns Supper celebration. The mix was perfect for my guests who were very hesitant to try haggis but pleased at this mild version. I'd call it an excellent starter choice and will order again.

Those who said it was the best haggis they ever had, had never had real good haggis. Basically this is oats with no taste of lamb lungs or any spices.. both cans went straight into the garbage where they belong.
