A: Nancy, any knife will "work" for skinning, but a true skinning knife is best, as its shape prevents puncturing the skin. This knife is NOT stainless and needs hand wash, etc., more care than stainless. The sharp finger will skin OK but a larger blade means faster work on a large animal.
