It's a handy, little journal for tracking auto expense history.
Every vehicle needs a log book for keeping two general types of data records. Simple data recordsโgasoline fill-up dates, costs and associated mileage, and more complicated recordsโoil changes, battery replacements, tire replacements, misc. repair types and costs. For example, rather than guessing the date of a critical care update, a log book will let you project ahead in order to maintain that critical 4-year battery replacement cycle. This journal opens to a divided left-side/right side note pad. The left side side of each page pair is dedicated to fuel use while I use the right side for recording short notes on repair dates/part replacements/mileage/costs, etc. If you need to maintain detailed notes on repairs or other information, then this little journal is not for you. Instead, a full-size notebook would address these needs. This log book is small and simple and easily fits inside a glove compartment. I prefer to keep mine in the center console for quick access. Just clip on it a small pen and it's always ready for updating as you stop at a service station or car dealership. I've used similar journals for every vehicle I've owned across several decades and found this practice to be essential. If you like simple, then this little journal will work for you. If you drive a lot or keep vehicles for many years, then having a second copy stored in the glove compartment would be ready when you need a replacement. One last thing. Passengers in your vehicle may not understand your diligence in maintaining records of every fuel fill-up, car repairs, or other scribbled notes you make in the journal. These are the same folks who don't know the dates of their next critical maintenance visitsโand miss them. Don't be like these peopleโuse an onboard journal.

Must Have!
Both my husband and I use this brand/style every year for our vehicle expenses. Even though I don't have a business anymore (retired), I still use it so I can keep track of my vehicle expenses. Easy to use and fits in the console.

Great way to track automobile costs.
This automobile mileage book is a great way to track gas mileage & repair expenses. It is small & can be easily stored in a vehicle.

Too Small
A decent item, but would have preferred a larger size to write in. Would have been ideal to have an envelope feature included for receipts. Decent but wouldn't purchase again.

good price
I've been using these for the last 47 years. Nice to have an inexpensive source. My first one has an entry that shows I once got regular gas in 1972 for 19.9ยข/gal. Also great for spotting trends...I label one of the columns 'mpg' and if I notice a downward trend in economy, it's time to go looking for the problem. There are a lot of 'apps' that will do the same thing on your smart phone but I'm old school & like pencil (or pen) & paper. Either way, keeping track of stuff is worth it.
