Good knife

This cleaver is heady which is good. But the weight is more on the handle rather than the blade. But it's enough for chopping some small bones. If the weight could move more to the blade it'd be better. The steel is also better than the one I used to have.

Cutey of a Cleaver
Solid, Smaller feeling blade in the hands of a big guy. (6'3" 250lbs). Crushes a chicken bone and have to chop through a rib bone about 2/3 times before you can split it. Heavier 4lbs cleavers are more ideal. This one though is good for average people with jobz and kids.

Love the knife, chopped pork ribs no problem. I specifically chose this knife because 40CR steel means it won't rust for a long time compared to 34CR. This is my second knife from this company and I'm looking forward getting another one.

I am constantly filled with anxiety when making online purchases particular when I don’t have any real world defence to what I am buying. but after reading other reviews I gained some assurances and decided to take the risk. Wow I’m impressed, quality is good and sharp out of the box. This one is marked as a bone cleaver so I don’t think it needs to be sharp but it performance exceeded expectations while parting up a roast chicken . It was also sharp enough to work around the bony parts of the chicken. This is my third knife purchase in a few weeks as my wife demanded we get something thicker than all of our other knives. I’m happy with the purchase and already thinking about other knives I could add to my collection from Shi Ba Zi Zuo
