Great wheels but..
Great wheels but one did fall apart and I had to glue it back together but now all is great, they roll nice on my wood chair mat and I am 280 Lbs.

great wheels
These work great. I'm a senior female and I had some difficulty getting my old wheels off, however, I got them off using garden gloves, a screwdriver, WD-40 and a wrench. The new ones did not go on easily either, but they did go on part of the way. Then I turned the chair upright and slammed it on the floor a few times, then sat in it, and the wheels went all the way in. They are great, and the chair now moves in all directions easily. I ordered 2 more boxes - UPDATE to review. This task went much quicker when I received the 2 new boxes. All it took was garden gloves, elbow grease, pulling while wiggling to get the old wheels off. To put the new wheels on, I first sprayed WD-40 on the tip, then pushed the wheel in while wiggling and twisting until the wheels went in

super easy to install and work great!
I ordered these to replace casters on old dining room chairs that needed replacement. I opened the box and put them on chairs with no issues! Good workmanship and exact size. They look and roll great over both the hardwood and area rugs. I never had an easier time replacing casters on chairs. Good buy,

Perfect Replacement Wheels - Super Easy to Use!
Okay, so there's nothing worse than having a broken wheel on a desk chair. When you do, you have to engage in a circus-like balancing act or you tip over and end up on the floor. That's the way it was for my son's desk chair for a long, long time. I was even thinking about throwing the chair out, because I had no idea how to fix it!Before I did that, though, I bought these Slipstick wheels and gave it a shot. They come neatly packed in a cardboard box. I took one out and looked it over - seemed like a straight-forward enough proposition. I took the old post out of the bottom of the chair and put the new wheel in and SNAP - I was done. Folks, it literally took me about a minute and a half to replace the wheel. Full-functioning chair is back, and now I just have to figure out what to do with the other four replacement wheels!

Noisy
Unfortunately, I didn't realize these wheels were noisy until well after the return date. I though my chair was making the noise. There is too much play in the wheel housing, so the slightest movement will be known in a quiet room. You may only notice this on a hardwood floor surface. They are not made the same as the wheels that come with your office chair that have much less play in the wheel housing. These have been in use for 2.5 months and are holding up, but the noise is a deal breaker.

Why didn't we do this sooner?
We had an old rolling stool that had, over time, gotten hard to move around on our tile floor. It had given us a lot of years of good use but was wearing out. My husband decided to make a small investment in it to see if any improvement could be made. Wow! It glides around effortlessly once again - just like new. Great purchase.
