Bit disappointing

I was really excited about getting this book for my kids (7 & 10) but I was a bit disappointed. The concept is great and it is presented very nicely. However, the instructions are not clear at all and even stumped me! The kids haven't picked it up since we first tried it out and it's definitely not something they would be able to do on their own. Bit of a shame really as I had high hopes!
