Lighter - Electric arc Lighter USB Rechargeable Windproof Plasma Lighter with Battery Indicator (Black)

Arc lighters are far more superior than traditional gas lighters, your not having to buy additional gas cannisters to top up your lighter. They are wind proof and safer. The battery level indicator on the side is very useful so you know when to put the lighter on charge, charging takes just over an hour for a full 100% charge. Sometimes I charge it at home on an evening or I charge it via the computer USB when in the office. This lighter is silent yet immediately responsive, clean (no fossil fuels needed). The lighter comes in a small presentation box complete with USB Cable, Cleaning Brush, Warranty Card, Instructions and the Lighter itself. I am very pleased with this lighter and its very easy to use, flip open the cap and gently press the button for instant ignition (the lighter will not work when the cap us closed). Love this lighter recieved yesterday, it looks well made, and has a nice weight. Simple to use, and I think it's good value. Charged it when I recieved it and been using it constantly and the battery still shows full so I think the battery will last along time. Veru satisfied with my purchase, oh I had two and my husband loves his too. Customer service is excellent, one lighter I bought stopped working contacted the seller, with a video of the problem, and a new lighter has been posted to me the same day, with no quibble. After using this for some time I feel like I'm adequately informed to make a review, and to sum it up this lighter is alright. With regular use you can get about one and a half days of use. Although charging is an alright speed and reasonably convenient these days I have still been caught out with a low battery and performance really drops off. I would have liked to seen a USB-C connection but I suppose at this price point it may have been a bit of an ask. The prongs often arc to the screw between all four of them on the main body of the lighter. This renders the lighter completely useless. I consider my lighter to be fairly clean; I try to brush it between uses so it's not a case of debris shorting it out. On the positive side it does work well as a wind proof lighter. The arcs can be blown by the wind so I still hold a hand up to shield it but it is far, far more reliable than a regular gas lighter. As mentioned earlier the charging is more convenient than refilling or just buying replacements. I had my previous plasma lighter for 3 years before switching to this one so its cost has been saved many times over.

The rainbow metallic finish looks great in person, and the functionality is as expected, with there being arcs and lasting a good amount of time. It's really good for when going somewhere windy and you can't rely on a classic lighter or matches. Sometimes the arcs will stop working, but closing the lid or brushing against the contacts usually fixes this issue. The head is quite small, so if lighting cigarettes, you can run into the issue that you'll light one half and not the other, so if lighting something thick, watch out for run aways along the side due to the small head. This can be avoided by running it around the circumference of the cross section, but can be a bit fiddly, less convenient than a lighter.

The lighter was ok initially but after 2 battery cycles the electrodes had burnt very short. It also makes an earsplitting noise when in use.

I'm quite happy with my purchase, it's fairly compact and looks smart. I got fed up of having lighters run out on me or burning me because they are awkward to hold. I decided to go for an arc light as it's not only wind proof but you can turn the lighter upside-down without a flame trying to burn you. I have only recently received this so I can't yet say how good the battery life is, but it functions well. I've mostly used it for incense sticks so far. For cigarettes I'm certain this would work perfectly. Though, perhaps stick to matches or a jet lighter if you're going to use this for cigars. I've not seen a single arc lighter that can handle cigars yet though so the vat isn't that high. I will update this review if I have any issues later down the line.

This is a great little lighter, the battery life could be better, I find I'm having to charge it every day. It is very stylish and feels Great in your hand. It would make a brilliant gift too. Comes in a lovely gift box. It's excellent value for money, and comes with all the information you'll need for its use and up keep. I would highly recommend it for anyone over the age of 18yrs of course, for personal use or to pass on as a gift.

fully charged, does not work, came in a battered gift box! charge indicator showing 4 solid dots, but nothing at all happens when i press the button. and just how does a seller pack and post an item that is clearly damaged?!

Fazit nach 6 Wochen Gebrauch: Licht: * Optisch sehr ansprechendes Design * Liegt gut und massiv in der Hand * Windfeste und einwandfreie Zündung * Verarbeitung nicht Spitzenliga aber durchaus OK * Kapazität des Akkus hervorragend * Akkuzustand beim Ladevorgang wird richtig angezeigt Schatten: *Nach wenigen Tagen hatte die Klappe im aufgeklappten Zustand geringfügig Federspiel *Akkuzustandsanzeige im Gebrauch abweichend von der Anzeige bei Ladekabelanschluss Das vollgeladene Feuerzeug (so kam es auch bei Lieferung an) zeigt selbst bei einem stärkeren Raucher nach 1 Woche noch 4 leuchtende Lade LEDs an bevor es dann ca. am 8. Tag auf 3 leuchtende LEDs springt. Nach weiteren 3 Tagen verabschiedet sich das Anspringen wie auch alles was Beleuchtung ist nach gerade zuvor immer noch 3 angezeigten Ladezustands LEDs schlagartig - weil der Akku dann komplett leer ist. In diesem Zustand zum Aufladen ans Ladelabel gehängt sieht man die Ursache: Dort Laufen dann erstmal 4 LED Punkte in Art einer Laufband Lightshow durch (bedeutet: der Akku war vollständig leer) bis dann Punkt um Punkt Daueranzeige hinzukommt bis die Lightshow dann nach gut einer Stunde mit 4 durchgehend leuchtenden LEDs und wieder vollgeladenem Akku endet. Im Gebrauch ist also die 4 Punkt Ladezustands LED Anzeige nicht aussagekräftig - 2 Tage nach Anzeige von 3 Punkten bei den LEDs sollte man dem Feuerzeug die nächste Ladung gönnen: Dann wird beim Anschließen noch 1 LED Punkt dauerleuchtend angezeigt und macht bei zunächst erstmal 3 Punkten Lightshow weiter bis es vollständig aufgeladen ist. Wenn man weiß wie die Ladezustandsanzeige dieses Feuerzeugs tickt kann man dieses Feuerzeug in der Praxis sehr gut handeln ohne unerwartet vor dem Leerzustand des Akkus zu stehen. Wegen der Ungenauigkeit der Akkuzustands LED Anzeige im Nichtladebetrieb ein Stern Abzug, hier könnte der Hersteller nachbessern - wie auch bei der Verarbeitung der Klappenhalterung. Abgeshen von den beiden o.g. eher marginalen Schönheitsfehlern aber ein durchaus gelungenes Produkt das ich wieder kaufen würde.
