Good quality
Annoying fire alarm batteries needed replaced. Better price on amazon than in stores. Work good. Lol not waking up in a panic at night.

Great battery. Like any other.
5 stars because there’s nothing to say, really. The batteries work as well as any other 9 volt. I like to get Amazon’s version because they’re the most cost effective compared to a big box store. They last just as long as any other batteries. We basically only use them to power our code locks on the doors of our houses, but the door lock will last for years, so good deal.

Seems worth the price...
So far so good, they seem to work as well as the brand name ones. I have tried Amazon basics before and have been impressed with the quality, and these will go on my list of repeat purchases.

Great Value and Reliable Performance!
I purchased the Amazon Basics 8-Pack 9V Batteries, and they’ve been excellent. The quality is solid—each battery delivers consistent power and lasts a long time in my devices. They’re perfect for smoke detectors, toys, and other electronics that need dependable energy. The best part is the value: you get eight batteries at a very reasonable price without sacrificing performance. They’re well-packaged and easy to store, making them a smart choice for keeping backups on hand. If you’re looking for affordable, reliable 9V batteries, this pack is a great buy. Highly recommend!

The Working Man's Power Brick
Dateline: A Darkened Room, a Chirping Smoke Detector, Late Saturday Night. It is a sound from the seventh circle of hell. The sharp, insistent, high-pitched CHIRP of a dying smoke detector battery. It is the universe's way of telling you, at three in the morning, that you have failed to prepare. It is a moment that calls for a specific and increasingly rare tool: the humble, blocky, 9-volt battery. This strange, rectangular power source is a relic from another time, yet it persists, the stubborn, beating heart of our most critical and our most bizarre devices. It powers the smoke alarm that saves your life, and it powers the vintage fuzz pedal that makes your guitar sound like a dying woolly mammoth. You need to have them on hand. You need a stockpile. Enter the Amazon Basics 9V. This is not the high-priced, celebrity-endorsed battery you see advertised during the Super Bowl. This is the people's battery. The pragmatist's choice. A simple, no-nonsense power brick that delivers on the one thing that truly matters: incredible, undeniable value. Let's be honest. In a head-to-head, long-distance race, will it outlast its big-name competitors? Probably not. It might run out of steam a little sooner in a high-drain device. But that is missing the point entirely. The point is that for the price of two or three of the "premium" batteries, you can have a whole damn arsenal of these things sitting in your drawer. You are not buying a single marathon runner; you are buying a fresh team of sprinters, ready to be tagged in at a moment's notice. And they will be ready. This is the second, and most crucial, part of the bargain. These batteries don't die in the drawer. They don't leak a foul, corrosive bile all over your other junk. They hold their charge with a grim, respectable tenacity. They sit there, for years if need be, patiently waiting for the call to action. Whether it's for the life-saving chirp of the smoke detector or the soul-stirring crunch of a guitar pedal, they are ready to serve. For the sheer, overwhelming value proposition, these cannot be beat. They are reliable, they are affordable, and they allow you to maintain a healthy supply of a crucial power source without taking out a second mortgage. They are the perfect, five-star solution for the well-prepared and the perpetually paranoid. A solid, working-class hero in a world of overpriced superstars.

Great batteries for use in smoke detectors.
Good value for the price. We use these for our smoke detectors and each battery lasts a year (or more). Nothing fancy, they're simply cost effective & reliable.

Why pay double? Reliable power for all my electronics at a fraction of the cost
I used to only buy the "big name" brands for my household batteries, especially for critical things like smoke detectors. However, after trying this Amazon Basics 4-Pack of 9V Alkaline Batteries, I'm officially a convert. They offer the exact same performance without the "brand name" markup. 1. High Performance Right Out of the Box I tested each of these with a multimeter as soon as they arrived, and they all registered at a consistent 9.5V to 9.6V. They aren't sitting on a shelf losing power; they arrive fresh and ready to go. I’ve used them in everything from high-drain RC toys to my digital multimeter and acoustic-electric guitar, and they haven't skipped a beat. 2. The 5-Year Shelf Life is Real The 5-year leak-free shelf life is a huge selling point for me. I like to keep a few extras in the "junk drawer" for when that dreaded low-battery chirp happens at 2:00 AM. Knowing these will still be at full strength two or three years from now gives me total peace of mind. It makes stocking up for emergencies or power outages much more practical. 3. Perfect for Smoke & CO Detectors If you have multiple smoke or carbon monoxide detectors in your house, the cost of replacing batteries every year adds up fast. These fit perfectly in the battery compartments—no struggling with tight fits or weird dimensions. They provide steady, reliable power that lasts just as long as the expensive copper-top alternatives I used to buy. 4. Frustration-Free Packaging I actually appreciate the Certified Frustration-Free Packaging. There’s no sharp plastic clamshell to hack through with scissors. The box is easy to open, and it doubles as a neat little storage container for the remaining batteries so they don't roll around and short out against each other. Pros: Incredible Value: You get four batteries for the price of two from most other brands. Reliable Longevity: Lasts just as long as premium brands in low-to-mid drain devices. Leak-Proof Design: 5-year shelf life ensures they are ready when you need them. Standard Fit: Fits perfectly in smoke detectors, garage door openers, and guitar pedals. Cons: These are single-use alkaline batteries, so they aren't rechargeable. Not intended for extremely high-drain industrial tools (stick to lithium for those). Final Verdict: There is no reason to spend twice as much on "premium" brands for everyday household items. These Amazon Basics 9V batteries are reliable, long-lasting, and arguably the best value on the market. I’ll be buying these exclusively from now on
