Very sturdy
I bought these to use on my Koi pond. We needed to cover it to prevent the kids from falling into it. We stacked them up and then covered the top with flagstone to make our pond into a pond less water feature… we left the bubbler and sump pump in place. Now we gave a water feature without the dangers of a pond for small kids or pets. The plastic material and pattern on the cages makes it pretty strong, we can walk on top with ease. These gave worked out perfectly for us.

Very pleased with the quality.
I ordered this item to covert a pond/ stream to just an endless stream. Easy to put together and very sturdy! I read that some say it only goes one way, but per instructions you should have all 6 sides of the box supported. So, it doesn’t matter what side you place the box, just make sure your hole is snug, then used large heavy rock around it to secure the box. I was happily surprised it came with geotextile fabric too! The fabric was placed directly underneath the box and the RDPM rubber liner; original fabric is under the liner itself. Photo shows unfinished project before filling it with 2”-3” rock.

Got them quick. No instructions but fairly intuitive. I got two large and three small. They assemble together easy enough. One thing to watch, and I suspect the cause of many to complain about broken tabs, is if you tap the verticle side pieces on with the base on top, with tabs on the floor, they could break. Just need to be careful not to put pressure on tabs while assembling. Of all five boxes, only one tab was partially cracked on delivery, which was no big deal. No tabs broke during assembly. I got these for a reservoir for a pondless waterfall. They are simply, sturdy, mostly empty voids in which water can be stored for a water pump. You could just use rocks, but they would take up more space and lessen the amount of water in the resevoir. Once I put them in my reservoir hole, I have walked on them, carrying a hundred pound boulder to boot. They did creak occasionally, but seem strong enough. I gave it a four star instead of five because the openings could be smaller to prevent gravel from entering them. Not sure why I should have to buy more material to cover them to prevent this. I will cover the tops with a screening material of some kind to prevent small gravel pieces from entering them although most of the stones I use will be big enough to not go through the openings.

Quick and simple to asseemble
We have a drainage problem in two areas of our yard. I had pits dug to install the Aquablox (wrapped in permeable landscape cloth, then covered in gravel. Water drains into the pit and gravel, where gravel alone would only provide about 20% pore space of the hole, but the Aquablox provides several square feet of volume for infiltrating water. This installation allows water to be captured for infiltration, while not backing up into the house foundation, eventually infiltrating the ground. The Aquablox easily stands lots of weight on it, which allows hundreds of pounds of gravel to be put on top of it without fear of collapse.

Broke plastic right out of the box
Large aquablock was broke right out of the package. Pins on one corner was broke on all inside pieces. Corner of plastic side was broke off. Not quite as durable as I would’ve hoped. Might need more protective shipping care. Main panels seem sturdy when all put together
