Each tablet contains equivalent to 6 grams of Ginkgo leaf, and they are smooth tablets so easy to take. As there are around 10 health benefits of Ginkgo documented on the internet, they seem a very good idea to me. Reducing the risk of Alzheimers is one such potential. The product is 400 vegan tablets to be taken 1 per day. I've had no negative effects and would recommend them.

I'm not sure if I'm being asked to review these particular tablets or Ginkgo in general. The tablets are nice, very small and easy to swallow, loads of them in the pack! Ginkgo - jury's still out. I haven't had any side effects but there's not a huge difference in my memory or energy levels (6 weeks now) which is what I was hoping for.

Ginkgo Biloba is found in fossils dating back 270 million years. Ginkgo is one of the oldest species of tree in the world. The trees can grow more than 130 feet tall and can live for over 1,000 years. Some trees in China are said to be over 2,500 years old. Researchers believe that ginkgo improves cognitive function because it promotes good blood circulation in the brain and protects the brain and other parts from neuronal damage. Some studies have also suggested that gingko may help people with macular degeneration to keep their sight for longer. Patients with blood circulation disorders or individuals on anticoagulants, such as aspirin, are at risk of experiencing undesirable effects after taking ginkgo. Those taking selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI) as antidepressants should not take ginkgo as it inhibits monoamine oxidase, reducing the effectiveness of the medications. Combining the two may also increase the risk of a potentially fatal condition known as serotonin syndrome. Examples of SSRIs are Prozac, or fluoxetine, and sertraline, also known as Zoloft. I wanted to try these see if helps with depression. However my depression is so bad that these did not help at all. I do think they good value for money just didn't help me. I done lit research on this ginko which meant help depression without having horrible meds from doctors but they did not work for me.

I have been taking ginkgo biloba tablets for over 30 years to help reduce the effects of tinnitus. Obviously, during that time I have tried tablets from various companies. These are by far the best. Although the tablets are not the smallest, they have a quality and smoothness about them that makes them easy to swallow. They are a superior quality to many on the market. My husband was beginning to get forgetful so I started him on these tablets. His mental alertness has definitely improved and the difference began to show after a fortnight. I will certainly be re-ordering this brand in future.

While I appreciate that the tablets are vegan-friendly and the 400-count bottle offers good value, I haven’t noticed any significant improvements yet. The tablets are easy to swallow, but I haven’t felt much difference in terms of memory or mental clarity, which is what I was hoping for. It’s possible that I need more time to see results, as it’s only been a short period, but I was expecting a bit more noticeable change. The high strength dose is appealing, but at this point, it hasn’t made a huge impact on me. Overall, it’s a decent product, but I haven’t seen the results I was hoping for yet. I’ll continue using it to see if there’s any improvement over time, but so far, it’s been pretty neutral.

I've bought this product twice now and was very happy the first time when it came as discus-shaped pills about 7mm in diameter. Great value and a high-dose formulation. In the second bottle, however, it emerged that it has been reformulated as a flat cylinder (like a button battery) about 4mm in diameter. This seems to be almost exactly the same size as the opening in my throat. I can normally swallow pills with ease but these stick and make me gag every time. I would expect a note on the product page to say the formulation had changed and a bit more care in designing the pill shape. Would buy again if returning to the old formulation.
