Great as a dry shampoo that also covers sparse areas
I purchased this product after I had my fourth baby and began to see some very dramatic hair loss. I had areas above my temples that were thinning out so bad it looked like I had pulled chunks of hair out of my scalp. I could not wear my hair back without feeling very self-conscious so I wore my hair down most of the time. I decided to purchase this product to see how it could help with filling in those sparse areas on my scalp, and let me tell you, this product is amazing. It really does make your hair appear thicker. But a secondary and unexpected benefit I experience from this product is that it acts as a dry shampoo and also give your hair a little bit of body and reduces the appearance of oil. I wash my hair once every 2 days to increase the overall health of my hair and this is a really great thing to use in between washes. Highly recommended

A little miracle in a bottle!
OK, I'll be perfectly honest here and tell you that a couple of years ago I went through a stressful enough period that much of my hair seemed to acquire passports and immigrate to someone else's head… for real. Given that I have thin, fine hair and not a lot of it, it created some serious problems for me because being a woman with bald spots all over her head… is harder to deal with than I ever could have imagined. So I started doing homework. Lots of it. Research that clearly demonstrated that my problem is not unusual, not easy to manage and has no "quick fix" of any kind. But it can be managed successfully. I didn't want to go with Rogaine for women because there's just too much negative feedback on it and because once you start using the stack of chemicals it contains you can't ever go off of it again. Which led me to Surge Shampoo; a product with enough longitudinal studies to be able to verify that the inclusion of caffeine and other ingredients (pretty much all of them recognizable and natural) genuinely work on fine, thinning hair AND hair loss when applied topically. But I didn't stop there either. I strongly believe that supplements are enormously important additions for anyone who doesn't have a PERFECTLY balanced diet and honestly, I don't think there are many of those around… or at least many who will freely admit that they don't. So knowing what I do about vitamins, minerals and iron- (liquid form taken with vitamin C to make it easier for the body to absorb) I searched for something of that nature that would work on restoring and building new hair follicles to use in conjunction with the shampoo. As it turns out, there is a vitamin that contains a high enough Keratin content (among many other ingredients some of which are found primarily in the B-category) to aid not only in stimulating hair growth but also to increase both strength and thickness of finger & toenails as well. However, all of those things take time and I was still going to have enough scalp showing to make me look like a virtually hairless cat (whatever the breed that does that is). So the gal who colors my hair (counter-intuitive I know but I NEED my hair to be damaged in order to give it more fullness and body) shook enough Eclipse onto my scalp/ bald-spots to actually cover them almost completely. My stylist says that most of it's success lies in the fact that, like a good "foundation" for the face, it actually acts to eliminate the shine that made my scalp so visible. But the fibers that act to both "fill and cover" those spots are colored for a reason: to match your hair color and darken your scalp while also eliminating the "shiny" on your skin-covered skull. Those fibers attach themselves to both the "baby fuzz" hair follicles AND to the skin in between them. So although I'm now using less of it, I NEEDED that coverage enough that, at the time, I was going through almost a full container a month waiting for the vitamins and the Surge to start working their magic as well. Oh, and for what it's worth, the fibers in Eclipse will stay on your head until the next wash. Whether it's every day, every other day or once every 3-4 days. Is it worth it? Absolutely! Just ask that previously almost bald lady (that would be me folks) who is now only using it for selective "spot coverage" and whose little bottles of magic are now lasting for months PLURAL instead of just every 4 weeks or so. Honestly, if my colorist hadn't had samples to use on my head to demonstrate the advantages of this little miracle in a bottle!

Typically works well
Product works well. Definitely helps cover up balding/thin hair. If you do it properly ppl won't notice. Usually holds up well in windy/light rain weather. Only reason this is 4 Stars I should that occasionally I'll receive a product that doesn't seem to come out of the bottle as easy or seems to need more fibers to stick right. This is rather rare tho. Warning in advance: be cautious how you apply. Shaking it onto your head can result in the fibers spreading in the room, covering stuff.

Great Idea But Doesn't Stay In
I tried this after using a similar product. This is far superior and have now ordered it twice. Super easy to apply. I style as usual, apply where needed and then very lightly use a light holding hair spray over the fibers to hold them in place. I did not like it when used with the Infinity Spray Pump because it had too much pressure and did not leave the product where needed. Shaking it on gives a more natural appearance. I ordered the medium brown shade. I have medium brown hair with highlights so I may try a lighter shade next time. This is a great product!

It stays on the best & has the best coverage.
This product seems to be the “top of the line” as I have tried several different brands but always come back to Eclipse!!

Looks Natural
I have tried several brands of hair fibers and find Eclipse to be the BEST! Other products make my head itchy, and/or they clump on my scalp and won't come off without washing it out. The Eclipse matches my hair color pretty darn close! After I apply it I simply use a hair pick to lift my natural hair up a bit and let the fibers fall closer to my scalp rather than on top of my natural hair. Once I do that, you can't even see the fibers. I feel totally confident I don't look like I'm using something to hide my thinning hair. Another thing I love about Eclipse is it doesn't find it's way under my nails if I happen to scratch my head! With the other brands, (especially the ones that itch me) my nails would be filled with the fibers if I scratched my head. While all the various fibers are relatively expensive, for me the job that Eclipse does is worth every penny and it isn't any more expensive than the others. I can highly recommend this product.
