Simple, reliable, and actually works
This wine saver does exactly what it says it does, and that’s honestly all I want from a product like this. It’s very easy to use—just put the stopper in, give it a few pumps, and you’re done. You can actually feel the air being removed, which gives you confidence it’s doing its job. I’ve noticed a real difference in how long my wine stays fresh compared to leaving a bottle open or just recorking it. Even after a few days, the taste and smell are noticeably better. The pump feels solid and comfortable in the hand, and the stoppers fit snugly without feeling loose or awkward. Nothing leaks, and I haven’t had any issues with the seal failing. It’s also easy to clean and store, which makes it something I actually use instead of letting it sit in a drawer. I like that it’s simple and not over-engineered—no batteries, no weird parts, just a straightforward design that works. This has helped me enjoy wine at my own pace instead of feeling like I need to finish a bottle quickly. Overall, I’m really happy with it and would recommend it to anyone who drinks wine and wants to keep it fresh without any hassle.

Second place wine preserver by Cooks Illustrated
Easy to operate, with no learning curve. I'm not a wine expert, so I wouldn't notice the difference on my palate if it wasn't doing its job, but Cook's Illustrated rated it very highly, so I assume that it is working :) UPDATE - SHORT VERSION - Convenient and works well, but Cook's Illustrated did some tests and found some even better products! UPDATE - LONG VERSION: This is now the second place Wine Saver at www.cooksillustrated.com, as they have found a better one that preserves wine for longer. Here's what they had to say: "For years we’ve preserved open bottles of wine either by using the Vacu Vin Wine Saver, an inexpensive ($9.29) pair of rubber stoppers with a pump that sucks the air out of the bottle, or by pouring leftover wine into a smaller bottle or Mason jar to stave off oxidation. But innovative new gadgets promise to keep wine drinkable longer. We tested six tools, including the Vacu Vin, on half-empty bottles of red and white wine, comparing and evaluating the wines’ flavors and drinkability at various time intervals. ....Our old favorite worked reliably and kept wine drinkable for a week, but two new models bested it. As of press time, these two models had kept wine drinkable for one month. (We’ll continue to taste and report, so check our website for updates.) By inserting one model's sharp, hollow needle through the cork—we never had to uncork the bottle—we could pour just the amount of wine that we wanted while activating a pressurized capsule that simultaneously fed argon (an inert gas) into the bottle to displace the tapped wine. Not even our trained wine expert could say which was fresher: a month-old bottle sealed by this product or a freshly opened bottle of the same vintage. Another, cheaper product is a worthy Best Buy: It forms a barricade against air when its balloon is lowered into the bottle and inflated just above the surface of the leftover wine. On the downside, it’s slightly finicky and can be used on only one bottle at a time." Their new winner, for a short while, was the Coravin Wine Access System, but that was recalled (see www.cooksillustrated.com for more details), and the latest first-place is the Air Cork The Wine Preserver: "Once you get the hang of lowering the food-safe latex balloon into the bottle and inflating it just above the leftover wine’s surface, this budget-friendly device effectively seals off air, preserving wine’s drinkability for at least one month (we are continuing to test). A downside: You can seal only one bottle at a time. Balloons are guaranteed for 80 uses; replacement balloons cost about $4."

I don’t know what I’d do without these stoppers!
This purchase was a gift for a friend. I’ve been using the product for at least 10 years. When we have people over for dinner and we’re picking out the wine, someone will mention either that they don’t know how to store an open bottle of wine or are asking me what the plastic insert is with my bottles. I usually just keep an extra box or two of these vacuum bottle stoppers around. I’ll do a quick demo of how to seal an open bottle and then give our guest a new set. It’s made me very popular! I love the product and have never had an issue with the quality of the stoppers or the pump. And it works as expected. I’ve had bottles in my wine fridges as long as a month with one of these stoppers and the quality of the wine is still great.

Works really well while it lasts
Easy to use and keeps the carbonation and flavor in. One drawback. This is my third. The first two stopped working. I had the second one for just a couple of weeks before it stopped working. But after I got the new one, I tried the second one again and it worked. Strange.

A Must-Have for Wine Lovers!
The Vacu Vin Original Wine Saver is an essential tool for any wine lover! Since I’ve started using it, I’ve noticed how much longer my opened bottles last. This device efficiently removes air from the bottle, which helps preserve the wine’s flavor and freshness. It’s super easy to use—just pump it until you feel resistance, and you're good to go! The compact design makes it easy to store alongside my wine collection without taking up too much space. Overall, I highly recommend the Vacu Vin Wine Saver for anyone who enjoys a good glass of wine but doesn’t want to waste what’s left in the bottle. It really makes a difference in keeping my wine tasting great over time!

Why Did I Not Buy This Sooner?
I never had a wine saver vacuum before, but wanted to try it so I don't waste any more wine (criminal, I know!). I had a bottle of wine I opened a little over a week ago and used this product to keep it fresh. When I poured a glass last night with dinner I was happy that it wasn't vinegary, it tasted great! I am going to buy more stoppers so I can have a glass of this or that and not have to worry about it going bad. The blue color is cute and it's super easy to use.

Don’t order from this seller. Items delivered are not Vacu Vin. Instead generic cheap vacuum system provided.
