Bake-O-Glide Induction Hob Protector, Original - Standard (590 x 520mm), Black

After 6 years my first purchase of this protector started fraying on the edges so have bought a second one. They are excellent, wash so easily and do the job.

Brilliant product definitely does the job, no scratches on my induction hob! This is the 2 one I’ve purchased in 4 years think that’s ok given how much it’s used and washed. Washes in hot soapy water then I hang it up to dry. I would definitely recommend this product to save scratching your expensive induction hob.

This is the second hob protector I've used in about 3 years and like its quality, plus it makes the hob area look good. The original protector was used with 2 different hobs but started to show wear and tear after this time (fraying around the edges and a small hole caused by my excessive rubbing of the protector). This time around the protector has NOT been trimmed to show the hob controls meaning the protector can be turned over after each use - just lift the edge if needed but the controls can be seen (just about) with the cooker hood light on. When it comes to cleaning this should be done (and will be done) with much LESS force than before - sponge, lightly applied (not using the scourer) and possibly a small brush/toothbrush to get into the mesh (again lightly applied). Not the cheapest, or easiest to clean, but it is easy to use and stops any scratches/markings to the hob should the user be heavy-handed. Having looked at a few of the picures with notable damage caused to the hob/protector this product is totally unsuitable for ceramic hobs (with glass top) DURING COOKING - use ONLY with an INDUCTION hob during cooking.

It looks good with the edging and the pans all work with it in place. It also protects the hob if you want to use the area to place something on it when not in use. The size fits our 60cm hob but it does cover the controls along the front so we have to move it backwards and off the the back of the hob when using the hob.

This has been a brilliant purchase for our new induction hob. It was easy to cut to fit our hob more seamlessly (the wobbles at the edges in the picture are entirely user error, lol) and it protects our hob from everything. It is easy enough to clean but can get dirty quickly, trapping dust, or in our case cat fur in it so needs cleaning before use every time. I regularly use an 8kg 7.2L cast iron pot on our stove top and this protects it from any scratches or cracks in the glass with no issue. It isn't the prettiest, but it is certainly suitable for purpose.

Disappointed. I had one of these that I bought two years ago, but sadly damaged it at Christmas, so I decided to treat myself to a new one. The edging around the mat isn’t finished off how it used to be, so to me it just looks unfinished. Probably cost cutting.

Great fit for an 80cm hob. I chose not to cut out for the control panel, as I believe it looks better and it doesn't detract from operating your hob controls with a simple turn up and down.

Would recommend. Neat, robust.
