Like the other reviewer noted, it WILL fit a Redcat Gen7 truck but you have to grind out the truck's bumper mount holes a little bit. The included chain is useless and will snap the first time you use the servo. I used a 25g heavy duty servo. To minimize downforce, I simply unscrewed the spring retaining nut off one of the shocks...one shock provides enough downforce. Instead of the chain, I linked doubled up paper clips and mounted them to the innermost hole on the servo horn. If you mount the blade to the outermost servo horn hole, it puts a strain on the servo and mine got hot. Putting the link on the innermost hole didn't result in any less movement and the servo no longer strained and got hot. You will spend a lot of time refining the servo throw to get it just right. Don't expect the blade to rise super high, but the effect is nice. Yeah, the instructions are terrible, but all the parts are metal, and no parts missing. The only thing not included are the servo mounting screws, and the servo (bought separately) didn't have them either...lucky I have a parts bin. I got by with the photos included in the description. Also, don't use locktite on any of the screws, because you might have to remove the plow blade to make it easier to make adjustments. Now just waiting for snow.... :-)

Well built 1:10 scale plow. Used it on my Trx4 Defender. I did modify it a little to use an actuator instead of a servo. Great customer service f4om the seller also. Will probably buy another for a truck I am working on.

Keep the link to the images here for assembly, or screenshot them. The instructions are so faded and printed badly, that you'll need a good reference. It's not super difficult to figure out. I broke the chain provided immediately and improvised with a cable instead. I will be removing the shocks and using lead weights to provide downforce, and increase the lift throw and reduce pressure on my servo.. Pretty decent kit. A bit overpriced for the lack of instructions. Quality and finish is nice. All holes are threaded well and deburred. All holes lined up perfectly. I only dismantled 3 times before looking up the pics on Amazon for a reference. Would be 5 stars if the instructions were legible and the chain hadn't been so cheaply designed.

got this and the instructions it did not have any just a faded parts list was only able to put it together from the pictures on the listing. the chain broke immediately so i got some cable and got it to work . but no matter the end points set on the servo it gets hot and burned up. and the metal is bad quality and wont last long

It’s nice quality came in the mail quick. The tre star review is because there are no instructions and no separation on the screws it comes with so this thing his kind of a headache when you are trying to put it together. And I will add that there are screws missing and some holes are not threaded deep enough. After some head scratching and problem solving I finally got it put together I don’t know how well it will work yet waiting for snow…

i got this in the mail today and assembled it in under 15mins. fit perfect to the trx4 sport definitely would recommend to friends

No instructions for assembly. Low quality parts. Very sharp edges and lots of burrs. I had about 3 hours into filing down the burrs and correcting fitment issues before assembling. Spend the money on the RC4WD plow! I wish I had.

Very nice quality of parts. However the instructions are very bad. The 2 illustrations are of very poor quality. The parts list makes it even more difficult to make sure you have everything required. With some patience and guessing I managed to put it together. There is a provision made so a servo can be installed for lowering and raising the plow. I installed it on a Redcat Gen8.
