A lot harder to get a backlash using this reel for flipping, and should you manage to get one, it's easy to remedy since the spool doesn't hold a lot of line. I've enjoyed flipping with it and will continue to use it for that purpose.

Great reel, smooth action. Really easy to pitch jigs with and just the right gear ratio. Whether your swimming a jig back or winching a pig out of the brush, it seems to handle it all. Give it a try and add to your arsenal.

Work great for my flipping and jigging rigs, didn’t get rat nests like I do with standard bait casters. Been using close face spinning reels which didn’t held up to the job
