Caution: sharp edges on stainless steel cable stress relieve / retainer.
I'm 70% happy with the patch patch panel.Pros:• Purchased because I am tired of feeding 48 Ethernet cables into and around rack posts and just wanted something to feed into from rear above or below and and leave custom cabling alone inside the rack, a sort of quick connect if you will.• Front of panel appears to be black power coat and rolled well no sharp edges.• The mounting hardware/screws etc. included is nice.• The keystone RJ-45 couplers appear to be sturdy, well seated and and don't move around.☼ Construction feels very sturdy but the finishing needs works - see below.Cons:• Expensive for the finished qualityDepending on how hard it is to smooth out the sharp edges will determine if I buy more of these in the future as needed. I believe one shouldn't have to tool something for safety or to guard against cable damage to utilize a purchase like this.☼ While the stainless cable stress relieve / retainer is sturdy I cannot say that I am very satisfied by the lack of a finishing process that leaves sharp edges on all of the stainless steel portions►►CAUTION◄◄• Be careful with your hands and fingers when handling the stainless steel cable stress relieve bar / retainer.,there are very sharp edges. on ALL edges• Would HILGHLY recommend that you smooth off ALL edges before feeding ANY Ethernet or other cables through the retainers I have no doubt that it would eventually slice into a cable.Suggestions: get a pair of gloves, gobbles and use a small grinder, file or sand paper and round those edges off.Note to manufacturer:Please fix this issue , having rounded edges instead of sharp ones would have ensured you a 5-star rating for this product.

Deceptive marketing leads us to believe its CAT6A but they appear to be CAT6
Detroit Packing Co leads us to believe that this is CAT6A the pictures in their marketing materials say CAT6A but when I received the item mine say CAT6 I haven’t tested this yet to find out if it’s CAT6 or CAT6A but I suspect I will be returning this.

Misleading description. It is CAT6 not CAT6A
I needed this item for a very important project that is CAT6A based. The description of this item is stating that it is CAT6A compatible. As it turns out the description of the product is misleading because the item I received is has CAT6 keystone connectors only. This is extremely disappointing because now I need to spend more time looking for the right product.

Did not pass POE Thru
Easy to install. Looks great but did not pass poe thru.

Great value
This is a pretty simple device at a good price. It comes with screws, tie wraps, all the shielded couplers. I had no problem installing it - there are locations to tie wrap the cables to and everything plugged in OK and all of my 1 Gig and PoE worked fine. I have lots of non PoE and 100 Mb lines, so I didn't validate every wire, but everything I plugged into it worked fine. The sheet metal in the back could use a bit of deburring, but it isn't really surprising for the price.

Sheerness is a town in England
Seriously i had to look up sheerness the only definition i could find was a town in England. But to be honest what i just said is how i feel about this product. the Metal guide for incoming cables was broken on delivery. Half the coupler's had fallen out and had to be reinserted and i had to wiggle a few to get them to work. It is easy to install and honestly at the end of the day it does its basic function but over all i am unimpressed. Its like they named it after a sad interpretation of Detroit based on articles written over ten years ago and not the bustling rebirth city that Detroit is. I think just a little more effort on the manufacturers part this could be a good product but i guess i didnt pay for quality control.

great product for the price.
It passed POE with no issue. Nice shielded connections. Used inside a panel to replace punch down blocks. If inserted correctly, the jacks will lock in solid. Nice piece.

Good for your home lab
If you have a home lab and a rack, this is an affordable patch panel that looks nice. I don't know about using this in a datacenter - would assume its ok, but I can't review it in that capacity as I'm not a network engineer. The build quality is good. I did not feel any sharp edges that could cut cables or my hand. Some of the stuff I've bought for my rack has been cheaper metal and stamped - quality can be iffy. I was happy with the build quality of this device.I am using 15 ports so far. There is no sagging and all ports have worked as expected.I also used this to replace a "punch down" patch panel. A few years ago, I thought it was cool to have to punch down my cables. After doing it for a short time, the "fun" wears away and you just want something that works. I'd much rather have a plug on both sides. Less prone to failure as well.

Great patch panel, especially the price
This is a great low-cost patch panel, and it will do the job, especially in a home or SOHO setting. Note that the individual jacks are not the punch-down type as in “regular” patch panels. You connect cables equipped with a modular plug on BOTH sides of the panel. This allows you to use prefabricated cables. The jacks are marked CAT6a, and the jacks are all grounded. I am successfully running 10 Gbit without any problems. In my system, there is both a “professional” patch panel (2nd row from top in the picture) and the Detroit Packaging (bottom row). Both work the same.
