Custom Service Saved my Game Nights
Bought for use with more original hardware SNES. The cable arrived with a card noting potential issues with an earlier version of the cable. I was unfortunate and received a cable that was not wanting to send signal to the TV. The one time I was able to get a picture it was a bit on the blurry side, very bright, and was glitchy on the bottom of the screen. The seller responded to an email very quickly with a list of recommendations to rule out other potential causes. Once confirming the issue was with the cable the seller sent me a revised version that arrived with a few days. The seller even followed up to ensure the new cable was working after it arrived. The picture was darker when compared to the one time I had the older version of the cable working, but the image was stable with no glitching and the quality of the sprites was fantastic. Considering the conversion from such old hardware that was designed for CRT TVs, I would say the cables was doing an superb job. A+ customer service saved my experience with the product and has me rocking out nostalgia nights on my childhood favorites. While I do wish that Amazon initially shipped the revised version of the cable, the lack of comparable products on the market led me to be thankful to end up with a product that works so well.

It works well enough
I'm not a purist, but this works quite well for what I was looking for. Compared it to using my AV receiver RCA inputs, as well as Gamestop's version of this device ($13.99 as of this writing). In my opinion, it works better than the Gamestop version (Gamestop device only outputs widescreen, which stretches the image, and also appears even more pixelated). Picture quality looked comparable to my AV receiver output, however the added switch on this device allows the image to output the original 4:3 (with black side bars), which is nice (my AV receiver was unable to output the 4:3 format, only stretched widescreen). Understandably, these are retro games, so the game image is going to be pixelated anyway, especially compared to how we remembered the older CRT's with scanlines. I don't have the Nintendo Online versions for comparison, but I imagine those will have slightly better graphics or clean-up polygons by the developer. But it's also nice not having to pay a subscription fee to play. Well worth the $30 (as of this writing) - not sure if I could justify $130, or even several hundred, for the better up-conversion devices out there that can simulate scanlines and crt pixel geometry, or options for pixel smoothing. Possible I'll want to try those later on, but for now I just wanted something to help play my old system on the newer HD TV's, and this seemed to do the trick. Happy gaming!

Very good
First one I received did not work, but I quickly received a replacement after I sent the manufacturer an email. Played a lot of Mario Party 2 with it the last few days. No issues, a great product.

Great budget option; good for computer monitors.
Let me start by saying that mine arrived with an audio issue. The right audio channel would intermittently cut out. I contacted LevelHike and got a replacement without hassle, so this comes with some great customer service. Overall, this isn’t the best way to convert your consoles to HDMI, but I think it’s unbeatable for the price. Sound quality is pretty good, except for a slight static sound when no audio is playing. The image quality varies by console. I would say it’s quite good for SNES. It’s a little blurry for N64, but acceptable. For GameCube, the image was pretty dark for me even if I adjusted my display settings. I like that it’s an adapter that plugs into HDMI rather than the entire thing being an HDMI cable itself. The 4:3/16:9 switch is fantastic to have if you’re using a display that doesn’t have aspect ratio settings (I’m using a computer monitor personally). It comes with a USB cable for power but it worked without it and I didn’t notice a difference. I’m guessing it’s for situations where the HDMI connection does not deliver enough power from the display. If you want the best image quality, you will need different cables for each console, some very expensive adapters, and/or to mod the video output of your consoles. This just plugs in and works. I highly recommend this if you want to connect 3 different consoles to HDMI on a budget, and especially if your display does not have aspect ratio settings.

A Little Finicky But Does the Job Quite Well
I recently purchased a gamecube since I never got to have one as a kid, but my TV doesn't have a proper RCA port, so I got this to properly hook it up to my TV. I like the fact you can connect the power supply to the TV rather than plugging it into the wall, and both the sound and picture quality are great! It was such a joy to boot up Super Mario Sunshine and see the splash of color in the loading screen. My one gripe thus far is that sound doesn't come through initially if you just boot up the gamecube- you have to fiddle with the 4:3/16:9 switch in order for it to pick up sound. (So I've been missing the cheerful little boot up noise the gamecube makes when getting everything started. Which isn't a big deal but just makes me a bit sad because I like hearing that noise. :'( ) Once you've fiddled with the switch, sound comes through and everything works like a charm. Very good quality for the price and I'm very happy over all. So excited to finally play some gamecube games!

HDMI only $29.99 for Retro Nintendo Gaming! Awesome Value!
I love the HDMI Cable for Nintendo GameCube, Nintendo 64 N64, Super Nintendo SNES Console (3-In-1) from LevelHike and it is only $29.99 to work with all 3 consoles! One of the great decisions LevelHike made was packaging a separate HDMI cable, instead of having it built all-in-one - this allows you to use another HDMI cord should this one ever fail or if you have one you want to use. This also comes with a USB cord to provide necessary power for the cable to work on your TV or monitor. These older consoles may or may not have enough power to generate it to the cable, so I was able to plug in into my TV's USB port. If your TV does not have a USB port, you can plug the USB end into a phone charging plug to provide power. I used this on all original, non-modded hardware. I used this on an Super Nintendo Entertainment System, a Nintendo 64, and a Nintendo Gamecube. The colors for me pop a lot brighter on the tv for each of these systems, without washing out the colors, or oversaturating anything, video and picture looks sharp, and reading text is so much clearer. I have heard about "Reds" being too red or too bright, but I did not notice that on any of my playthrough on any of the game I tested; I think it may just all depend on how the brightness and other TV settings are set on your TV. There is virtually no lag from the controller to the screen. This was tested on a 2016 LG 55B6P OLED TV and a TCL 55R625 TV. Going from composite on an HDTV to an HDMI connection is night and day. The composite connection is much darker, blurrier, less aesthetically pleasing to the eye, and it is not an output HDTVs want. They were meant for CRT TVs and monitors and that is where they should stay. Using this 3-in-1 cable makes games look and play much better on HDTVs. A 16:9 and a 4:3 switch is built-in. Mine was defaulted at 16:9, but I quickly changed it to 4:3 to give it the original aspect ratio for most of these games, especially on SNES and N64. 4:3 aspect ratio works and looks great! This 3-in-1 brings back that feeling of what we remember them looking like when we were kids, playing them for the first time. For those that never got the experience when these consoles and games first released, you should enjoy your time as well. Just plug and play, no modding necessary! I love the value I get out of this cable and to be able to play my games on original hardware and without having to have a cord for each system. We know how annoying it is to have too many cords or to get cords tangled and having to fight with untangling them. Here I can just put away or set aside on console and plug the cable into the back of the next console. The Super Nintendo games look great! There are brighter and sharper video and images. This cable does not mess up the audio. A lot of retro gaming clone consoles will mess up and make a lot of audio not sound like their original hardware counterparts. The audio sounds great like what you will remember when playing these games through composite cables on a CRT TV. I played Super Mario Bros through the Super Mario All-Stars collection, Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Tournament Fighters. They all look great and respond well to the controller. I used an original SNES controller while playing these games. Virtually no lag (virtually being, these consoles were designed in mind to use on CRTs with their original equipment, so going from CRT to HDTV, there is going to be a slight delay.) To me, I noticed the biggest difference on the Nintendo 64 going from composite to HDMI. I think that has to do with the 64 only ever having a maximum resolution of 240p and the lack of RGB support, so having the cable convert a signal and upscale the video and image to a 1080p or 4K screen makes a huge difference. Going from a 16-bit SNES to a polygonal N64 is where I noticed the biggest difference using this cable. Playing games on here look much clearer - a non-modded Nintendo 64 will never look pristine, but it is so much more worth playing and looking at the screen with this cable. I can read text much easier, see fewer jaggies, have brighter colors, things are sharper, and I just enjoy my time playing games. I used the Retro Fighters Brawler 64 controller when playing these games with this cable. The Nintendo Gamecube is "new" to me. I have very little experience playing games on it, as I played more on Xbox, Dreamcast, and some PS2. I really only dabbled in one of the Mario Party Games back in 2005 and nothing else really. The Gamecube never got the love from me, but I am now glad to have one. Only a couple games I have, so I am very unfamiliar with it. I have both of the Star Wars Rogue Squadron games; they are highly recommended from people and Rogue Squadron II from me. It is taking time to get used to the controls and the gameplay, but the video quality and sound quality is beautiful. Again, seeing the text go from blurry to so much clearer is so much easier on the eyes and that blurriness translates into other assets within the game, not just text. I played using the original wireless Wavebird Controller. I look forward to continue playing games this way and will look to obtain more LevelHike products in the future. I would like to try out their cable for the Genesis, as I actually only can play using the original cable plug. As I keep playing, I hope to update this review in the future with more positive updates. This is only $29.99! It is a great value for anyone looking to get back into the retro gaming with the original hardware or whether this is your first time. Yes, there are much more expensive options out there for cables or modding that can help improve the experience you get. However, that is up to the individual if you want to spend that much more (anywhere from $70 to at least $400, depending on your system) that may "break the bank." It's an awesome, affordable, and just plug and play option to use, which is something we can't say with most new generations of consoles. No downloading updates, patches, or installing the games. Do you have 10-20 minutes? Play a round of Mario Kart 64, see how far you can get in Super Mario Bros, see how many of The Foot you can beat up in Turtles in Time, blast your way to destroy the Death Star in Star Wars and be the Hero like Luke Skywalker. Have fun! Enjoy gaming!

Worst Picture Quality for a GameCube Hands Down
Setup and configuring was easy, but the picture quality of this adapter is downright horrendous and I think the images they used on the product page are severely misleading. This product is the worst way to convert your Gamecube to a modern-day 4k tv without a doubt Whatever before/after they show on the product page of retro game quality, sharper images, and better color - this product is without a doubt in the BEFORE level of quality in this product pictures. I played Mario Kart double dash on my GameCube for the first time in a decade and I literally couldn't tell what color the pickup boxes were (either red or translucent rainbow). I couldn't recommend this to anyone because a regular s-video cable and s-video to HDMI converter would cost the same and look better than this. I will try and remember to send photos to give a better idea but I will be likely returning mine while I still can. Sound was solid at least

5 Star Customer Service
Amazing seller! The first cable I purchased was not working on my SNES. I emailed the seller directly and received a reply the same day with troubleshooting instructions and was immediately shipped a new cable. The new cable worked and the picture quality is better than I expected. Very happy with my purchase!
