The Happy Man and His Dump Truck (Little Golden Book)

Beloved classic. Boys love this story.

These books are so cute and the perfect read for my toddler. They aren’t too long and take about 3-5 minutes to read. I love that they are a shorter version of the movie without taking too much detail away from the movie plot.

Very sweet story about making others happy and sharing what you have.

Likes-I like that it’s an old school Little Golden Book. Cute fun happy story. Multi generational book. My kids loved this book and now I bought it for part of my niece’s baby shower gift. Dislikes-Paper pages which can tear easily. Otherwise great little book at a great price!

Lil guy loves stories with construction vehicles and cars in them. This one was an easy win. Story is a bit weak IMHO but he's 3.75 yrs old and not a critic yet. He tells me he's gonna drive a dump truck when he's older but he wants much bigger one.

Beautifully illustrated but there isn’t much of a plot.…basically a guy gives a ride to a bunch of farm animals and they have fun sliding out when he tips the dumper ..my 2 year old vehicle obsessed grandson likes it but it’s not his favorite.

Happy book to go with a new Tonka dump truck!!

This book has a story that is sort of painfully simple. It's not a classic in that way were it's familiar to a lot of people, and still it lacks any sort of competitive edge to make it stand out among the average kid's books of yesterday or today. However, this one is a Golden Book for a reason. That's more than I can say for my son's unfortunate copy of "Pokemon: The Movie" (the Golden Book, not the actual movie...which is a very low-grade book of screenshots, basically). This dump truck book doesn't go very far into exploring dump trucks, or the animals featured, or much of anything, but it's still a cute book, with the classic Golden Book feel and pacing. Nothing here is too outdated for modern kid's to relate to. It's one of the books I expect my son to be able to read himself earlier than some others. The vocabulary of this story is simple and really balanced like you expect from a classic Golden Book.

Bought this book for great grandson for second birthday to go with tonka dump truck

Soothing quick sweet story about a man giving a ride to a bunch of friends, who are animals. Just a happy little story. Great bedtime read for toddlers. Thank you.

Just recently purchased this cute 24 page book for a 5 & half-year old boy for Rs 120/-. Its a well presented book for boys who love vehicles. 1. Here more focus is on the pictures which occupy more then half of the page. At the bottom of the page are few lines depicting the story 2. Introduction of farm animals along the way which interest the kids 3. Language is simple & easy to understand On & all a good purchase. When I got it in hand I was taken a back by the hardback - btn cardboard 2 glossy papers were pressed made into a cover. I have other Golden Books with 3 stories which have a better binding and papers. Just a minor comparison which can be ignored as it doesn't effect overall the book. I grew up with books with Tibor Gergely's illustrations so bought this for my kids so they grow up with them Nice and positive read
