For beginners in religion this is the one book.

I like the old version better because it give all of the 7th dimensions of each religion at the end of the chapter. This one doesn’t.

Really comprehensive introductory book on different religions and philosophies

I purchased this book to prepare for the World History Subject Test and found this book very comprehensive and illuminating on different world religions. The added surprise and bonus was that it also discussed some important Chinese philosophers such as Confucius and Lao Tzu.Excellent resource.
