Isaac Asimov Robot Series 6 Books Collection Set (I, Robot, The Robots of Dawn, The Naked Sun, The Rest Of The Robots, The Caves of Steel, Robots and Empire)

Read all of these decades ago and decided to have another look. Really enjoying the series and you've just got to wonder at his amazing imagination.

The product is as expected, it's a nice edition and the price is very good for what you get. The edition is not the most amazing but it is enjoyable when it is read. The covers are well done and so was the shipping, highly recommend.

Good quality and price.

The young me was blown away by Asimov's robot stories when I borrowed SF books from the library back in the late 70's. When I saw this set it was impossible to resist an impulse purchase. But whilst ground breaking and highly influential at the time (most notably the Three Laws of Robotics), many of the "future" technologies described (e.g. tape readers, messaging bleepers, and fixed video phones) are now often anachronistic and start to grate. The 1940's and 50's may have been the gold age of science fiction, but predictions of the early 21st century often got more wrong than right. For example you have to accept that the immense challenges of building interstellar ships and human-like robots have somehow been overcome in a future that simultaneously lacks smartphones and personal computers. Overall, you have to just enjoy the stories - which are are often very good as you as try to resolve a puzzle or murder before the answer is given - and not read the books with the hyper-criticality of an aging computer engineer!

I've read up to Caves of Steel so far, and what a fantastic journey this series is. Easy but exceptionally profound reading, order this and strap in for sci-fi that is becoming increasingly more relevant reading in our times.

Bought as a gift for my 24 year old son who is an avid reader. He is a huge fan of this author so was very happy. And when my son is happy, it makes me happy (useless information but I do love him so)!

The books are brand new , single edition. I am looking forward to reading them.

Classic books that should be read by all. They should be on the bookshelf, within easy reach for almost instant consultation and re-reading! Great reads all of them. Read them and just look around. Marvel at Isaac Asimov’s predictive ability! Pick lower jaw up from the floor. RVDB

Received the product in excellent and safe package. I was afraid of how the books would be delivered but the seller took great care in delivering the books. The books themselves are good paperbacks with the covers being vibrant and great to look at. I can only imagine, had they been hardcover in this design, they would just look marvelous. The font is good and easy on the eyes and the print is good to read. I loved this combined purchase at this price.

the idea behind the stories absolutely brilliant, however the language the author used is totally obsolete (was probably already obsolete in 50s), which makes reading a sweat inducing chore. I somehow endured 3 mind nubing books, got stuck halfway the fourth and just couldnt force myself to continue. hartbroken as i love reading but it was harder than trying to go through stephanie mayer
