These are made well. Needed for a conversion I was doin on my toolbox. I never knew these couplers even existed.Worth they money

Was well made and glad it came with the 90 degree set screws. I used this on a focuser project for my telescope. It was replacing a previous plastic part so this is much sturdier and less slop in the coupling. The extra set screws work well to hold it into place. The bore does scale out per my micrometer. Seems very well made and the screws went in easily so the taps are clean.

I'm building an ammunition case annealing machine and needed to extend the motor shaft of one of the drive motors. I used this as a coupler and it worked great! The tolerances were tight enough that the two shafts lined up perfectly without any wobble or offset at the low RPM they're being used.The set screws are just big enough to barely bite into the shafts. I highly recommend grinding a small flat for the set screws to anchor onto.I am very happy with the purchase. They did the trick!

By digital caliper, the 5mm side was slightly under dimension. Not sure how that could happen... Makes me wonder if it was machined to fit 3/16" rather than 5mm. It would work well with 3/16th inch rods.Anyway, a 5mm rod would not fit. I needed to turn the rod down to about 4.95 to get it to fit tightly.

Do you need something to grip your shaft really tightly? Are you worried that a loose grip might result in sloppy performance, inconsistent output, or abrasion?If so, this is a good option - the set screws and precision machining ensure the rigid coupling grips your shaft completely, and the stainless steel composition means you don't have to worry about lubricants or other fluids causing corrosion or discoloration of your shaft.

The media could not be loaded.  This coupler was better than expected. I'm using them for my 3D printer dual Z-axis. They are well machined and are really close to 5 and 8 mm bores. I measured 5.0mm and 8.1mm.Note that when clamping into a leadscrew with the two grub screws, it is absolutely critical to have the leadscrew straight. Otherwise it will be crooked.
