Amazing Beretta 92FS Upgrade
Since acquiring a 1986 Italian 92FS, I’ve been struggling to find the right grip for this gun, even from the major manufacturers. I also wanted to use it as a nightstand gun, but I couldn’t mount a light. This was the perfect option after seeing videos and reviews. I Purchased it in cannot believe the price and fast shipping. I gave it five stars for its ingenuity and simplicity, as it feels better in the hand than grios previously tried, without adding a bulkier feel AND adding a light mount!!! Installed with the grip screws on each side and (2) allen screws on the left side, which tighten into nuts that sit in a recessed area on the right side. The extra material is on the sides of the frame, around the trigger guard and dust cover (new light rail). The fit is pretty good. I may have to go to smaller screws from the factory ones, as they don’t seat all the way down and there is a slight gap on the bottom of the mag well on both sides (talking a millimeter or so). Also, (and I believe this is unavoidable since there’s nothing to grab onto) the front portion under the dust cover ever so slightly hangs down with a little give at the front of the light rail. There is also extra material inside the trigger guard a little towards the front and then more sloping upward on the back half behind the trigger. I do honestly love the way it feels now, but, I still might take it to somebody to have it smoothed out a little more, remove material around the mag release, trigger guard, add better thumb relief and sand down/stipple the grip area. I understand the manufacturing process and to also fit all types of 92 models, where this will most always be a result. All lights fit properly and feel secure as well. Thanks to the inventor for a great product!

Perfect!
This is an excellent way to add a picatinni rail to an older handgun. It is well made and fits perfectly without any modifications. It does not add any bulk to the grip. I installed a Crimson Trace laser which fit perfectly and the system did not shift and alter the laser point of impact location when fired.

Glad I found this!
Like most, I was looking for a solid fitting rail system for my 92FS and even contemplated buying a 92FS compact before I came across this Recover Tactical grip & rail system. The look and feel of the grip is very nice and the fit is ‘almost’ perfect. To that point I did have an issue with the way the grip fit the rear base of the handle (as mentioned on a previous comment). There was a gap between the grip and the frame which exposed a sharp edge that pressed into my palm. Luckily I never fired the pistol this way. With my understanding of how firm glass infused polymer can be I also knew that it can be flexed with moderate heat. So, I put on the leather gloves, got the heat gun out and went to work. With the heat gun on low, I slowly heated the back of the grip (by the lower back corner). Once the grip was heated enough I slowly flexed the grip in the direction so that it would lay flat against the frame. This worked exactly as I had planned and I couldn’t be happier. I added some pictures of before and after. I had already finished the left side of the grip before I decided to take pictures. The left side was worse by the way. All in all I would highly recommend this system and if you have the issue that I had maybe this will help. My only caution is that the polymer can heat up quickly and potentially warp if you’re not careful. Cheers!

Almost Perfect
I have a 2014 Italian made 92fs. Recently I have been kicking myself for now purchasing the M9A1, so that I can add a tactical light. My 92fs is my night stand/home defense/sh_t hits the fan pistol. So, having a light on my pistol is a must. Once I saw ReCover on Amazon, I thought the grip looked cool and functional. I have a black 92fs, So I purchased the black Grip. Furthermore, ReCover's website stated the black Grip had no known issues with fitting the Italian 92fs. So the black grip was a marriage of convenience (I do still wish I bought the OD green or desert tan). Here is my experience so far: 1) Purchasing a shipping. Easy purchasing through Amazon and ReCover. The Grip arrived one day earlier than expected. This is always a bonus and the sign of a top notch company! Nothing better than getting a new toy a day earlier. 2) Installation - I took off my Beretta screws and had the ReCover grip on in 10 minutes. I unpacked my Dremmel thinking I would have to grind some pieces down for a better fit. But, NO DREMMEL GRINDING WAS NEEDED. Once again a bonus and a sign of a top notch company. 3) Fit and Finish - The grip feels solid in the hand and adds no noticable weight. The stippling on the grip takes some getting used to, but it was not comfortable. The only issue was the grip sitting flush with the pistol frame. At the bottom of the pistol, there is a small, but noticable gap between the ReCover grip and the bottom corner of the pistol frame. It could be that the screws I have are too short, and therefore the Grip is not tight enough against the frame. But, I would not get rid of the small gap. I ordered new screws from Hogue on Amazon, and hopefully the new screws will tighten the grip to sit flush with pistol frame. 4) Finger Rubbing Issues - A few owners discussed a rubbing issue with the users trigger finger and the plastic around the trigger guard. I experienced no such rubbing with my grip. In fact I could tell no difference in trigger rubbing. Again, I had my Dremmel out ready to grind the plastic down, but it was not needed. I am taking my pistol to the range this weekend, to test it out. I do not think there will be any issues with the feel of the grip at the range. But, it is always good to see how it feels in real world conditions. Furthermore, I have not decided on which light to buy. I will most likely get the TLR-1. In summation. This is a great product! I just wish the corner of the ReCover grip was flush with the pistol frame. That is a small complaint and does not appear to affect the ReCover at all. There is a good chance the unit you will buy, will be flush with the pistol frame. It could just be the unit I received. But, since I am not a Army Ranger or Navy Seal (purely utilitarian user) aesthetics do matter to me. Especially since I plan on keeping this gun and the ReCover grip for many years to come.

Ottimo prodotto
