The unit has many good features including great graphics and slim design. My only concern is that this unit removed some good features to incorporate the new ones. One feature that was removed was the pedestrian mode which gave directions while traveling by foot. All in all, this unit has many features that you may not need and a cheaper unit. Would suffice. Check your individual needs before selecting a unit. Happy traveling.

I honestly cannot say that it meets my expectation 100%.Yes, it is surely better than other run of the mill chargers butit does not charge like at a Turbo speed.And my GPS is back to its tricks of not getting charged even though Iplug it for whole night at a stretch.

The fold out plug is nice for travel. It charges up my 3597 pretty quick but have not compared times to the normal charger.Perfect for when I need to use my Garmin when not in the car setting up routes or finding food near hotels.Very happy with cord so far and ends don't look like they will fall apart like a few others I have messed with.

great product- sometimes you need another charge option besides USB because when your traveling sometimes your stuck what is available and having the plug adapter gives you the convenience of only needing a wall plug to charge your gps and sometimes that's all you have access to, very handy when your staying over night on the road

While a wall adaptor is not strictly needed in order to use a GPS, it sure makes it easier to ensure the instrument is fully charged and it allows you to locate your destination and set course without having to sit in the car! Well worth it.

This is a fully functional GPS unit. It has everything that I could wish for and is simple to use. The screen graphic are bright, clear and easy to read.One of the unexpected features that I particularly like is the school zone warning.

As the Amazon ad states, its amazingly powerful and fast.Folds up neatly and I have a small velcro wrap that holds it tight.Packs easily.Amazon, again had it delivered well before I expected it.
