Adorable board-flip book about critters in winter. Very high quality with beautiful illustrations. My 2-yr old nephew greatly enjoys lifting flaps to find the animals. It would be enjoyable for an older kiddo to read.

I bought all four seasons.

I am thrilled with my choice of this book as my sons winter/Christmas book for Christmas this year. He is 9 months and I wanted a book that had a touch of realism and wasn’t some story about a snowman losing a hat or something… but, I wanted to keep him engaged and he’s really into lift a flap books right now. The flaps in this book are so creative, and to my joy, the pages illustrations include a variety of real birds we see out our window. I love the details in this book and know it will keep him entertained for years to come.

I have a 1 yr old and a 4 yr old and I can read it to both of them. The kiddos love the flaps and the information is informative for my 4 year old.

This lift a flap book is so cute, but even better - the flaps are so sturdy! We keep a pretty close eye on our little guy with his books but he has already ripped a few flaps off other books. This one is cute and it’s build to last.

Lovely illustrations, but just be clear that there are only a handful of BIG flaps to lift. If you want a book with lots of small flaps, more than enough for advent, get the Cat Family Christmas.

We have all four of these and my son likes them a lot. Good way to acquaint him to the seasons, which he's really starting to understand and comment upon spontaneously. The homology between all these books is mutually reinforcing—they all introduce the central animal, there's a scene at the pond, and the little house, etc. So you can roll right between all of these. He engaged with all of them best once I got all of them rather than just the single current season that I started with.
