## Questions & Answers

**Q: will this work on cars that do not have the TPMS sensors?I never had a car with TPMS so I dont know anything about their valve stems.**
A: To summarize and put together into one answer what several others have said in part, all tire valves, whether older standard type (can be rubber or metal) or newer TPMS types have the same Schrader valve core. That's why this tool can be used to deflate a tire without removing the valve core or pushing on the Schrader valve with a small screwdriver (takes forever) to deflate the tire for purposes of removal from the rim. A Schrader valve doesn't know if it's connected to an older non-TPMS or a newer TPMS tire valve LOL.

**Q: is this hands free automatic or you must hold it down? for the ones that are.. does it damage to leave a tire valve spring compressed for days?**
A: It screws on and then you can let go while it deflates. I would not recommend leaving them attached for more than 10-15 minutes at a time. That would weaken the spring in the valve. I pretty much only use them when servicing tires with TPMS sensors and am concerned about damaging the sensor by removing the valve core - so if I were to damage the valve spring, I'd end up needing a new sensor anyway. Cheap rubber valve stems just get replaced if the core won't come out easily.

**Q: What metal is this made from?**
A: Steel, does get a little surface rust over time.

**Q: Will this deflate tires all the way to 0 PSI?**
A: Yes absolutely! I'm an aircraft mechanic and need to deflate tires before removing from an aircraft. Some are up to 230 psi so using the method of removing the valve stem gets dangerous as it can shoot out of there with a lot of force! I now use these to deflate to zero before wheel removal and also at home I have a tire machine for autos. I use them to get all the air out before breaking the bead of the tire. Wish I had these years ago!!! They work extremely well...

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Basically Perfect
*by E***C on 8 September 2020*

Super easy to use, no moving parts that can break, they deflate quickly, and a good price. Not much more you can ask for. I literally don't see the advantage of buying the expensive ones that can cost up to $80. Sure, you can supposedly set the exact PSI on those "nicer" ones, and then walk away and not end up with a flat tire. But, just use these and a stopwatch and it's a piece of cake. In 1-minute flat (no pun intended) these take my stock Tundra tires from 35 PSI down to 25 PSI. (Give or take 1 - 2 PSI.) I remove all four stem caps, then put these on. By the time I get all four on, I need to start taking them off again. In about 3-minutes I have easily deflated all four tires. Works great for the regular beach driving we do. At less than $12 these are a no-brainer.
