A reimagining of the hit '80s series, Dreamworks' She-Ra and the Princesses of Power is the story of an orphan named Adora, who leaves behind her former life in the evil Horde when she discovers a magic sword that transforms her into the mythical warrior princess She-Ra. Soon, she finds a new surrogate family in the Rebellion as she unites a group of magical princesses to defend Etheria. Alongside her best friends Glimmer and Bow, Adora helps to lead the Princess Alliance against their enemies, including the mysterious Hordak and Adora's childhood friend Catrawho soon rises in the Horde's ranks, spurned by feelings of betrayal. She-Ra and the Princesses of Power is a genre-smashing series full of adventure, fun, comedy, and sincere heart. Review: Amazing new take! - Amazing diverse characters, amazing LGBTQ+ representation. Makes you laugh and definitely makes you cry. I absolutely love love love this show!! Review: An Excellent Show For All Ages! - I found She-Ra and the Princesses of Power on Netflix at random and thought I'd give it a shot. I had fond memories of the 80s version of both She-Ra and He-Man, so I wasn't holding out much hope - man, was I wrong! This is a brilliant series with multi-faceted characters, fun design and a plot that weaves through episodes instead of following the old 'bad guy of the week' formula. It's also really refreshing to see the other princesses be different body types and ethnicities, as the old one had all the women looking pretty much exactly the same as each other. Adora is an endearing hero, trying her best to do right but plagued by universal insecurities of self-doubt. Just as fascinating is her ex-best friend/antagonist Catra, who has her own flipside journey into spiralling villainy. The secondary characters are all equally well-rounded. Glimmer is a sort of foil to Catra this time around, and Scorpia is probably the sweetest villain sidekick since Kronk. The other princesses are a lot of fun, particularly as an ensemble. My favourite is probably Mermista, who has the sarcastic edgy valley girl persona down perfectly. Sadly this is not the full series - the final part is yet to air on Netflix so it isn't included here. Still, if you don't have Netflix and you want a fun show with a surprising amount of pathos, you won't be disappointed. I wish this is the She-Ra show I got to grow up with!

Catra Seasons 1-3
When it comes to how not to produce an animated series, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power is a prime example of how not to make one! There is no She-Ra in this show, it features a girl who dons a cosplay outfit each ep, and that's it! The main focus of the series is the catgirl called Catra, the rest of the characters, including the supposed title character, are of zero consequence, they are simply there to fill screen time, along with pretty much the rest of the show. Despite a few backgrounds for establishing shots, the show is incredibly poorly produced, bland and unimaginative character designs, inconsistent and irrelevant characters, incoherent and inconsistent plot, no story, diabolical dialogue, poor world building, drawn out far beyond welcome unfunny jokes, terrible character interaction, actionless, horrendous animation and terrible to so-so voice acting! This whole show just ultimately reeks of incompetence! Forget what it says on the box, this is simply the complete episode collection of season 1. It was produced as one season, the episodes are numbered as season 1, ie 101-126, it was split into three 'parts' to extend its release schedule, as releasing all 26 episodes at once would have meant Netflix would lose money from everyone binge watching for a couple of weeks, then forgetting about it and reduce the amount of people tuning in when the second season, episodes 227-252, would see release on Netflix the year later! When it comes to the bar of standards, this show doesn't even meet any of the basic requirements. The only merit the show has, is the fact that is does show us how not to produce an animated show, so now we can hopefully get a professional team in to produce a series of quality, but after this, anything produced that is distinctly average, would be a vast improvement!

This is millennial garbage.
Don’t watch this trash. Just watch the classic 80s cartoon instead.

Great to have 3 seasons on dvd. It would be so awesome if seasons 4 & 5 were there too, sigh. Make sure you have a region free dvd player.

Llegó en tiempo y forma, incluso antes de lo esperado, además que en perfectas condiciones. Si eres fan de la serie es en verdad algo que lo vale.

My wife and I were looking for something light and fun to watch, and friends kept suggesting this. My first response was "you're joking right? That's a kids show that's a redo of an old '80s toy commercial, right?" But after enough suggestions we gave it shot, and it turned out they were not joking at all! First, the downsides: * This is the first half of the series, and the second half has not been released for purchase. You will definitely want to watch the whole thing to get the whole story! While it is available on Netflix, if you are a collector, this is a big downside. * The first few episodes are episodic and a little slow as the series sets up the characters, so don't be put off by the start. It gets into a full ongoing storyline later. * Some of the character and place names are pretty silly - the downside of being based on an 80s show. Not a big problem. OK, on to the good stuff. * First, the show is flat out fun. It has a a great sense of humor (and not the crude body-function humor that's so popular) with some genuine laugh-out-loud moments. * Second, the plot is fun with entertaining action and interesting developments. It isn't an "action" show - the focus is on character development - but its got plenty to entertain if that's what you (or your kids watching) want. * However, the really big thing is the rich characters and character-driven story. These are beautifully developed personalities that grow and change, and it is an absolute joy to experience. Even the villains are portrayed as very 3-Dimensional characters and interesting characters, and have some fascinating (and even adorable) plot arcs. While on the surface the story is a fairly straightforward "friendship and love overcomes", that's a story that can stand to be told a lot and it is VERY well done here. Beneath that, there's a lot of fairly serious themes and topics. While friendship is powerful, we also get shown that sometimes no matter how much you care for and love someone, you just can't stop them from making bad decisions. Sometimes friendship just isn't enough. There are also themes about the dangers of basing your self-worth on other's opinion of you, the difficulties of a parent trying to balance protecting their children and letting them grow, and many more. While the show sometimes gets a bit dark, it is more emotional than grim, and it keeps the realistic and strong themes within a framework that is still totally appropriate for kids. If you want a show to get some thought provoking conversations going with your kids, this is a winner. Then again, if they just want to watch cool princesses fight baddies, they can do that while you enjoy the deeper plot elements. And if you don't have kids...well, I think the character and story arcs are as good and interesting as any "adult" show. Very worth watching! Just please Dreamworks, release seasons 4 and 5 on disc so we can own the whole thing!

A very well written show with iconic characters and an aesthetically pleasing animation. Good for kids, teenagers and also adults. The package came in perfect conditions. I hope they will make the DVD also for the last seasons!
