This stuff is so amazing. I looked at it to try and find a product that would make my mom's super thin hair thicker. She put it on her scalp every night for about two months and, wow, what a difference, She no longer needs to wear her wig. I'm married so putting it on every night would not work for me, but I do put it on my scalp and all through my dry hair about an hour before I wash it. My hair soaks it in so much that it is almost dry in that hour. My hair is looking great - shiny and healthy. I have been using it combined with coconut oil on my face and the results are terrific. People complement me on my skin all the time and their mouths just drop open when I tell them I'm 51. They usually guess 38. If I happen to only mention that I have been married for 30 years, they get a funny look on their face and ask how old was I when I got married. It's so much fun. I have really dry, flaky feet and nothing has helped. I've tried everything. I file my feet briefly and mix a few drops of this oil in my cocoa butter gel, rub on my feet and then put on two footies or socks. It is really oily and will soak through one pair. I have sandal ready feet in about an hour. I rub the extra oil on my knees and elbows. It does have a smoky odor at first, but I don't even notice it now. My husband has never said anything about a funny smell. I use it all the time and this bottle has lasted for many months. I pour some into a smaller squeeze bottle and only a few drops are needed. Look online for a ton of other beauty uses.

I know you have to look at product reviews with a grain of salt. That being said.. you can believe mine! This oil took off a skin tag that has bothered me for years. Painlessly. I rubbed it on it almost nightly. Forgot a couple of nights. Rubbed it in good for around nine days. Next thing I know it PEELED OFF!!!! I COULDNT BELIEVE MY EYES. I never would've thought that this could do that. If you have skin tags, use this product! Also has done tremendous in helping my horrible dry, flaky skin. Helps my bruises fade away. The only thing I'm waiting on is my hair and eyebrow growth. I guess you have to use longer for that. It's been a couple of weeks with no improvement. That's not long tho. I'll keep using knowing it worked on my other problems so I have faith in its effacy. Oh, I've put it in my navel as I've read it helps in weight loss and digestion. Don't know if that's true. I don't put a lot of stock in reviews that have been given free product. Hope this honest written review helps someone with skin tags and extremely dry skin. I know this brand works for that. It does need to be in a glass bottle too. I think the oil absorbs the chemicals from the plastic.

Because of this product, I no longer use Minoxidil or Latisse!!! A MUST-buy for your hair, eyebrows, and eyelashes! Yes, Eyelashes!! This gem of an oil is our #1 best kept beauty secret ladies! (And gentlemen, of course) Let me tell you the 3 major ways this oil has changed my life. 1) Hair: Female hairloss is a family trait that I have been blessed with. I have very fine hair to begin with, and it started thinning in my late 20's. I used Minoxidil for the last 2 years to help with this. It's very expensive for daily use and really trashes the exisiting hair you have, especially if it's longer. It did not help me to regrow any hair, but it did stop more from falling out. About 2 months ago I learned about this product and immidiately noticed a difference. Withing a couple of weeks my hair was fuller, and I had regrowth! I'm talking about new hair, growing fast, and the condition of the length of my hair improved so much! At bedtime, I use an eyedropper and massage a few drops into my scalp every night. I used Latisse and must say I had good results from it. But, the product was expensive for me to keep using. Finances are troublesome for my family right now and I had to make some cut-backs on "luxury" items. I cried as I watched my eyelashes lose their fullness and length. So, of course with the great results I had with my hair and eyebrows, I decided to try this on my lashes. I am so glad I did! My eyelashes are fuller, softer, longer, conditioned, and don't fall out anymore. I use a spoolie brush, but Q-tips or an old clean mascara wand will do just as good. I apply it to my top and bottom lashes very close to the lash line every night before bed, and also on my top lashes before applying make-up in the morning. First-time user, no noticeable results after three weeks.

I am so shocked. I got this item on June 28, today is the 1st of July and I already see a noticeable and significant difference in my eyelashes and eyebrows. Once I got this item I put it on my lashes and brows right away. I thought it was going to take a while for me to see any results, so I wanted to get started on the daily application right away. I ordered this for brows, lashes and hair. I wanted to see hair growth as well as thickening of the hair for my lashes in particular so I could just ditch my mascara forever. I have LOTS of hair growing under my brows and above, which is pretty usual, but I also applied this to the ends of my brows, by the temples of my face and the mid of my nose. They're sprouting there and I'm so excited! Though do watch out: I watched a review talking about how hair will literally grow like crazy wherever you put this - and it's true. I'm afraid of growing in a uni-brow with this, honestly. For my lashes, they are longer, as well as thicker AND I have more. I have more growing in from the corners of my eyes - which I wanted so I put more product there. I know this is due to the jbco because I put this on at night. I sleep on my right side usually, and I go straight to lying in bed after washing my face and putting jbco on. I think some of the product rubs off on my pillows for my right eye since I don't wait for the oil to seep in. My left eyelashes are a bit longer due to this ..ha. I see a difference in the color too, since that's about thickness. My left eye has darker thicker lashes than my right. I want to use this product for my hair on my head to grow faster, but I haven't mastered that yet. I hate touching this stuff. I apply it to my lashes and brows with a clean mascara wand (TIP: have a mascara wand for dipping into the jbco and applying AND a clean one for brushing it out and spreading the product when applied.. when I apply the oil it leaves dew drops on the tips of my lash hairs and brows. having a clean brush to spread the product out helps a lot) But yes, this stuff is thick. the only way I can explain it is the feeling of when I work with resin without gloves. Or if my fingers get in some very strong sticky lip gloss. When I try to wash it off my fingers still feel sticky after so I have to do this twice usually. This is only problematic because of how it won't spread when applied to hair as well. I tried to wet my fingers and do this and it kind of helps. The smell from the bottle smells nutty, but after applied I will agree it smells like cigarettes. BUT it's very faint and yes, it does go away after a bit. It's that smell a cigarette leaves on your fingers kinda. It goes away, and it's not strong at all for me. I'm going to add some to my shampoo :) I'll be back with more updates

Hi all of my 4b natural hair sisters! While developing my natural hair routine I watched so many vlogs about JBCO. I liked that this seller also sold the applicator bottle (which you WILL need) so I bought it! My order came wrapped perfectly and I didn't understand why it was soooo wrapped up?? but it comes in a GLASS jar! Remember the old days? Quality medicinal products always came in a dark glass jar! So I knew I was on the right track. I waited exactly a month after ordering so I could give you my hair growth results. And it did grow my hair! I am bald at the crown a 2" spot. You know ladies the area where you start your relaxer applications??? *Watch Chris Rock's "Good Hair" to understand how chemicals destroy our hair** But I also read that thyroid problems can cause this, though I have not been diagnosed with a medical condition. The oil is very heavy and thick and does have a very mild "woodsy" smell that you do not smell once you put on your hair. I purposely just applied it to the problem area and after 2 weeks I could gather that hair into a section. After a month I could brush that hair along with the back crown section! I can see about a 1/2 inch of growth! Though I think hair grows a 1/4 inch per month? Just this week I am now starting to use it in my nape area to see if I see some length. I will keep you updated in a month ****As of July 14th I am rocking my curly "fro"! I have a solid 1 inch of growth! I now use the oil along the entire strand to help repair the hair. *****11/01/12 update, If your hair can tolerate old fashioned heavy grease I changed to Blue Magic's Castor Oil, ready my review before you buy or just stick with this one, JBCO just takes a little bit longer to grow the hair***** I also stress that this is for 4ABC girls as our hair care regimen WILL NOT be the same as for 3ABC ladies. Once I accepted I have kinky, curly, soft cotton type hair that does not hold a style; I have been set free to find what works for me.When you are ready to accept that, you will understand. I also want to say you don't have to spend a lot of money either. It's a shame how some of those companies that we try to support charge us $35 to $65 dollars for 1 product. Ladies use: -any of the Herbal Essence products, I like Hydrolicious (purple btl) others swear by Hello Hydration (blue btl) and others for the Honey Line (yellow btl) -Use some good old fashioned CRISCO shortening as your moisturizer,thank you my Dominican Sisters for that tip (also excellent for flat ironing)! -I also use distilled water to wet my hair using a spray bottle when I do my twist/braids. -Visit the Natural Hair Vlogs for beauty tips, I have learned so much and my beauty regime is paying off. And of course, pay it forward to help someone else look as beautiful as can be! :) In conclusion, buy the Jamaican Black Castor oil product, it works and I would not lie to you.

Updated Review: I found an old bottle from a previous order while going through my container of hair products. The bottle size was the same. The label was different. I'm not sure if that's because this order is not the real product or if the manufacturer changed labels. Picture enclosed with previous order on the left side of the picture. The one I already had did not have a strong smell. I'm not sure if it just disappated but I don't recall ever having a strong smell when I got the orders in the past or purchased in my local store in person. The bottle I already had still had product in it, so I was able to compare. The one I already had was more concentrated (darker and thicker) as I suspected. I washed my hair this time before testing both products on separate sides. The one I already had seemed more effective but both products did absorb this time. I still returnef it. The smell was overpowering and my prior order seemed more effective. Maybe I got a bad batch? I updated the review from 1 star to 3 stars primarily because I really liked the ones I received in the past. It thickened my hair a lot. I had very fine hair now my hair is very thick almost too thick for me lol. I think I got a bad batch or a fake this time. I may but in the store next time. Original review: The label says it's the original formula but don't be deceived, changing the concentration of product through filtering makes this product different. The first thing I noticed when this product arrived is that the bottle looked smaller than my past orders. It said 8 oz but I am 99% certain the bottle is smaller. I had thrown out my other bottle so I called my mom to see if she still had product left from my last order so I could compare the bottles, and she did, but I kept forgetting to bring it when I went to her house to check. With that in mind, I didn't get to confirm the size difference but I have a keen eye for details and the size of the bottle stood out immediately. I did put it next to a 4 oz container of their pimento growth oil and this bottle is barely bigger. I grudgingly decided to finally open it because my hair was brittle from not conditioning a few weeks after a hair dye. Upon opening the bottle the smell was so hideous. It never smelled like this before. I put a little on my finger and it was not as thick and dark as before. I applied a sample size to a small section of my hair bangs and it did nothing. Before this stuff would soak into my hair and my hair would be extremely moisturized. This time, the thin oil just kind of made a barrier it seems bc my hair gel started to sit on top of my hair when I applied it after. The old way it was made, the formula was so thick that I had to be careful to limit the use and after I let in sit in my hair a little time I could mix other products and even gel because it actually absorbed into the hair and mixed well. The old and 8 oz bottle would last me a year. My mom's would last a year as well..If we applied once a week, that was more than sufficient. Many times I didn't even apply weekly maybe every other week because it moisturized so well. After seeing the way my hair reacted and the obvious difference in the product itself, I looked at the back of the bottle to find the writing which is clearly an attempt to deny the obvious...the product is no longer the same concentration and hence it is not the same. I'm returning this. It is unfortunate that a change was made. This was a premium product before . I think since covid companies have been changing their products to offset cost and the results aren't good. Most of the hair products I used faithfully before covid havd reduced their quality yet their price still went up.
