The original solar charger battery failed after we had 3 unusual days of below zero temperatures. It never worked again after that. This battery installed easily in the battery compartment, and it showed a nearly full charge when we received it. Need to repair that electric fence? Or maybe replace the battery back up for your security system, or anything needing a strong, small 6 volt battery. My use is to repair a “non repairable” Zareba 5 mile electric fence controller. It’s the solar cell model. $150 bucks to replace. Like any solar powered/battery device, the battery won’t last for ever. The battery fails and device won’t work. But the solid state guts will. Once you figure out how to get the battery out of the box it’s easy to replace. Turns out 2 screws at the bottom allow a door to slide down exposing the battery. Easy swap for $20 bucks saving you over $100.

This battery is the perfect fit for the electric fence box I needed. I can't say anything about longevity yet, since I just got it this spring, but it is the perfect fit, and is putting out a good amount of watts on my temporary fence.
