FGO Organic Rooibos Tea, 16 Ounce Loose Leaf Bulk Resealable Bag, Caffeine Free, Packaging May Vary (Pack of 1)

I bought this plain organic rooibos tea mainly to use in my betta tanks, and it’s been working great. I add it between water changes when the tannins from botanicals start to fade, and it does a really good job keeping the water lightly tinted. Rooibos is known to have natural antioxidant and antibacterial properties, and I like using it as a gentle way to support betta health in my blackwater style setups. My bettas have been doing well with it, especially in their tanks that already use botanicals. As a bonus, I tried it as a drink even though I’m not much of a tea person. It smells really good and has a mild, pleasant flavor that isn’t bitter at all. Definitely nicer than I expected.

The Rooibos is a favorite of mine ever since visiting South Africa. These bags are especially nice for home use because they are not individually wrapped (which I think is so wasteful). They do not have a string either, which is fine for making a pot of tea. The tea bags come in a resealable bag and the smooth flavor is amazing.

This is my favorite brand of Roobios. It doesn't have a vanilla flavor like some of them - just tastes like a good quality pekoe tea even though it is not the same plant as a regular camillia tea plant. It has much less caffeine than black tea so you can drink it late in the day. Its pricey but worth it. You get a lot of bags in one order.

I REALLY enjoyed this Rooibos tea very much. On flavor and freshness, I would recommend it to anyone. BUT HERE'S SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO KNOW... I was drinking 16-20 oz every morning when I first got it. At some point just a few days into doing this, I started to experience pretty intense episodes of anxiety later in the day and into the night. I had NEVER had these feelings of anxiety before. My heart would speed up and I was having palpitations, and in some cases, I was experiencing a slight tremble throughout my body. It was very unpleasant! This went on consistently for a couple weeks and I was close to calling my doctor to get checked out. And then, since I had never experienced anything like this before, I began to wonder if there was something new in my diet that might be causing this reaction. The Rooibos tea was the only thing I could think of, so I did an experiment... I quit drinking it to see what would happen! Within 2 days, the feelings of anxiety went away, and have stayed away for a week now. I know this may not be super scientific, but needless to say, it's enough evidence for me to give up this delicious tea. I've read that it's rare, but some people have a bad reaction to Rooibos tea that others may not. I'm one of the unfortunate ones. If you experience something similar, just a heads up - it may be this tea. :-(

I've ordered this tea multiple times now. Very smooth taste. While it works in a pod coffee maker. I like to add to my coffee pot before I start making my coffee each morning. Taste goes well with black coffee and adds another layer of health benefits. This is part of my Type 2 diabetes health regiment. Packaging works well too.

I am trying this for my bone health but I actually lost be the taste. It’s non marinated so I can have it after dinner and not gonna disturbs my sleep.

This was for a good price, and it tastes great for tea. I use it to make rooibus chai.

A little fine grind for my tea strainer but had a mild taste and very delicious.

The pack was larger than I expected so great value for money. The naturopath told me to drink this and I am so glad I tried it. I had never heard of this before and it’s delicious. I used to drink black tea with milk and honey. Now I drink this black.

Rooibos is a great coffee substitute and tea substitute for evenings, because it's caffeine-free, and very healthy because high in anti-oxidants. I'm no fancy expert, but this tastes like what it is: bark. Or more like dried sawdust maybe. I don't know what the others do different, but every other Rooibos I've had tasted better than this brand. The best Rooibos I've ever had is the rooibos with vanilla blossoms by an inspired chef, also sold on amazon. I can't wait for this to run out, to order that again (or I might do it before that).
