Misleading: reviews are for the Father Christmas book not the joke book

I ordered this joke book for my 5 year old who loves the Raymond Briggs Father Chrustmas books. But to be honest, the jokes really are blooming awful. I love all kinds of jokes but lots of these weren’t much good, and my son didn’t get them at all really and any remnant if humour was lost when the joke needed to be explained why it was funny. And he is a funny kid, my son! Just that these jokes seemed very very outdated.

Adds to the excitement

While you may have heard the jokes before, they're certainly better than the ones in the average cracker. Give it to a six year old a fortnight before the big day, to add to the anticipation and allow time for practice.

Lovely , well known, old, old favorites!

Bought this for an 8yr old reluctant reader.The jokes are lovely old fashioned cracker style - nothing sophisticated, just funny.Lovely stocking filler to suit many ages!
