Fundamentals of Epidemiology and Biostatistics

Great book but difficult to follow. I enjoyed taking this class though. The book came in handy when I needed it.

Working on masters degree in health management. To save money, I used your book services, and hope to sale it back.

Although I am just starting the semester, this book makes this class much better because of the simplicity in which this book decribes the topics.I like the way this book is laid out and I also like the cool front cover :)

I am an online student. While providing examples and practice questions, the author neglects to explain symbols in the formulas requiring frequent hunts almost every other page for explanations online and or finding videos to compensate. The author could have taken time to put in a few words to explain what these were. The statistic tables were also different and those differences were poorly explained. I found another book to use for them. Certainly for a class that is only a few weeks long and online I think the book was a poor choice by the university faculty. The book would be better in a class with an instructor who is familiar with the book's shortcomings but not for an online 6 week course. Any instructor should definitely go through it first to prepare for the barrage of questions from frustrated students.

This book was required for my class but it was so hard to understand and in my opinion did not do a very good job of teaching and helping me learn the concepts of epidemiology and biostatistics and it is not because I hadn't taken statistics courses in the past because I had.

The book was Zero help what we was asked to do in the class didn’t match the book so my advice would be Not to get the book!

I would not recommend this book. Having taken statistics in the past, I found this book to be clear as mud. I found myself using other methods to explains the examples in this book. The tables in this book were not standard to other tables. Over all not a clear, user friendly book. Stay far away if you have the choice!!!
