Resident Evil - Soundtrack

The disc is very hard in the musical sense of the word. Many of the songs are quite heavy, but if that is what you are looking for you won't be disappointed. I actually bought this disc when it first came out many years ago. It was unfortunately stolen from me and only recently did I decide to buy it again. Still as hard as it was when I first bought it, the efforts included on this disc from Manson are amazingly well done and should satisfy any of his fans. The Slipknot remix of Manson's "The Fight Song" features a different drum track which does add to the overall sound. While the original Fight Song is still very good, the version on this disc will have you playing it over and over again. Manson also did some of the scoring with Marc Beltrami. Each of the scored tracks are terrific and have Manson's signature sound on them.The disc also includes tracks from well known acts such as Crystal Method, Depeche Mode, and Rammstein. Method Man also makes an appearance which adds a little something different to this rock heavy album.The biggest downfall of this release is that, for some reason, they decided to release this as a "clean" disc which does take away from the songs a little. You'd figure with this record being done for an R rated movie that the disc would also be R, but it's not. I hope one day they decide to revisit this release and just let it play as it was intended to, filthy words and all.4.1 / 5

Great CD! It has the opening song by Marilyn Manson a long with a couple others made for the movie, and then the rest of the CD is made up of songs “inspired by” the movie. They vary from metal to semi-rap and techno.

Personally I bought this mainly to get CD quality of the 4 score tracks by Marco Beltrami and Marilyn Manson. I do like some of the other tracks and remixes of songs by Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, Mudvayne, Ill Niño, Rammstein and Adema.The only complaint I have is that the copy I received was "clean/edited", not the "explicit" with the "Parental Advisory" stamp.Oh well, at the least it made me aware of the remixed songs. Overall I give it 5 star for the score tracks and the select songs and remixes I favored :)

First of all AMAZING!!!!!!!! Marilyn Manson did an absolute spectacular job with the score it was one of the main reasons that drew me into getting the soundtrack.My CD came with a couple scratches which is something I could live with but definatly do not prefer (guys please ship with care)When I first was looking at this CD I thought ok cool so i'll just buy it but when I looked at the other reviews (which almost talked me out of buying it) almost all of them reported that it was CENSORED! Ya, not cool....but when I just said whatever I can deal with it, I bought it and today I received it in the mail and very pleased when I opened it to find a parental advisory tag on the bottom of the case......YES!!!!I definatly recommend it and I look foward to getting the other scores of Resident Evil

i give anything r.e 5 stars- great addition to my large collection- i think the apocalypse sndtrk is better though... i dont care for alot of the bands on here but a few songs are worth the listen

Terrible soundtrack. Only one good track which is the one by Marilyn Manson (the track you hear through most of the film). The rest is rock (great if you love that style), otherwise people wanting an atmospheric soundtrack would do wise to buy something better.
