Some of the reviews here are unfair. With vitamins of this type, it usually takes a few months (plural) to see results with you hair. This is a supplement, meaning that it is meant to supplement deficiencies in your diet. If someone is experiencing increased hair-shedding, hair loss, or slower than usual growth, then they need to consult a doctor because it could be something else (i.e. birth control, stress, a weight loss diet...) contributing to the hair problems. Honestly, if something is affecting your hair there is probably more going on, on your inside so get checked out. This vitamin works very well for me. I switched to another brand for 6 months and really wish that I hadn't. I only switched brands because the competitor was offering a buy an X-month supply, get X months free deal (and yes, I still wish I stayed loyal to Futurebiotics). I am not an expert on vitamins by any means, but I really feel when compared to all others I have tried, my body ABSORBS this blend of vitamins better (a vitamin is not any good if your body does not absorb it. Prior to this, I would only take powdered supplements but those tend to include excess calories). I feel that this vitamin helped contribute to my hair growth from a short pixie cut to shoulder length in less than one year. It also helped combat the post-partum shedding I experienced after I stopped nursing. Unfortunately, in the last few months, my growth rate has slowed (uncommon for me in the summer). I discussed my growth rate with my doctor at my annual physical/labs last month. My labs revealed in an iron and vitamin D deficiency (both in this supplement, not 100% though). My doctor encouraged me to switch back to my previous supplement (this) and add an additional supplement of vitamin D. This supplement includes horsetail, which is great for growth. The B group - which is great for not only growth but energy metabolism as well. Vitamin D (helps support bone health, mood). This is a quality hair vitamin, that also works as a multi-vitamin. This is only my opinion, and yes I really feel people should consult their doctor first...but I feel these vitamins work very well and I will continue taking these for as long as they are made.

I would recommend this product to anyone who is having problems with their fingernails. There are many products on the market for Hair, Skin and Nails but, from my own experience, this one works the best. When I first tried it, I only took one tablet per day. But, the manufacturer recommends using one tablet three times a day. It does work great when I use 3 times per day, one at breakfast, one at lunch and one at dinner time. I am 77 years old and my nails grow like when they did in my twenties and thirties. My nails are strong, they grow fast as when I was young, they don't peel back or break easily and they look absolutely great. Over the years, I have tried several products for skin, hair and nails. I have even compared the ingredients in this product with others and tried them but found they just do not do the job. This product does not come in capsule form so you can taste the vitamins but the manufacture has changed the tablet so that they are easier to take and it is necessary to refrigerate after opening to preserve the potency other than that there no ingredients that have a potential to be harmful. I have been totally satisfied with this product and have used it for years. I just wished I could show a before and after of my nails!!

If you have problems swallowing pills, this is not the one for you but other than that it’s great for hair, skin and nails ti give your body a boost, in that department. I will say they smell like fish oil. My cat was trying to find what I was taking lol 😂

I had no problems with smell or swallowing, it’s fine. Dealing with these pills for 1,5 months its doing its job: super long & strong nails, hair grows (however still falling out), skin doesn’t seem to change. BUT be informed that biotin in these pills affects blood tests results. I did not know this I and wasted my money for blood tests and doctors.

I took these tablets for 2 months exactly. Didn't see any difference in my nails, but they always were strong and fast growing. Didn't have any problems with the skin, so again did not notice anything new. But my hair, oh well.. I have long hair, and after pregnancy 2 years ago it wasn't growing at all almost and i'm trying to grow back my natural color. After this tablets my hair grew twice as fast as before if not more! I'm very happy with that and i'm buying more now! Wow, that is impressive! Update (2/28/13). Stopped using these vitamins for over a month and noticed that hair didn't grow as fast. I ordered futurebiotics again and already after couple of weeks I see that growth in my hair! Now I'm 100% believing in it! I noticed if you take these tablets on empty stomach, they make you burp or give some wierd after taste, so take them after a meal.

I hate to rate this poorly but something is wrong... I used to buy these from the vitamin store a good 5 years ago and they were GREAT. For some reason, nobody on the ground carries them so I ordered from Amazon. The package is now cheap plastic and the smell is that of a dead cat. But I still took them... Within a week I felt like I was going to pass out and I thought it was maybe because I waited too long to eat. Another time I took them (I had eaten) and that weird fainting feeling came back I was dizzy and felt like I was going to pass out. I almost asked a stranger on the street to call for help. The ONLY thing I changed in my diet were these vitamins. I stopped taking them and the faint feeling never came back. I ended up trashing the rest(waste of money). Im just trying to save someone else's money and possibly your life!! They need to check their formula, until then--BUYER BEWARE! (Remember, vitamins aren't regulated so who knows if these are safe)

I'm a vegetarian and I needed a multivitamin. After weeks of taking this I noticed my dark eye circles disappear and my skin get a healthy glow. My nails did grow but they were extremely brittle and I ended up having to cut them off. My hair is pretty much the same. This product does indeed stink. It seems to be getting progressively worse as the weeks go by. I throw them one at a time in the back of my mouth to avoid the horrible taste. Overall it's good for my health and skin, but nothing much else.
