Great motorcycle mittens! Surprising features!
First, I want to say that I did not receive a free pair of these cold weather mittens, nor did I receive any kind of compensation for this review. I was simply buying a pair for use in my winter motorcycle riding and was looking for a pair of mittens for below freezing weather that would give my hands the protection I need at a reasonable price. How surprised I was to find features that I did not notice until I received the mittens. Not only that, I was informed by Amazon that the mittens that I ordered on late Thursday, December the 13th that they would arrive on Sunday, December the 16th. They actually arrived a day earlier on Saturday, December the 15th. Way to go Amazon Prime! Love it! I am surprised that these mittens are not advertised for motorcycle use as they seem to be so well suited to cold weather riding. So, on to the features I like about these affordable mittens especially as how they apply to winter motorcycle riding: Please note that the fourth Amazon picture shows a young man using his cell phone (texting?) with the mitts dangling from his wrists. I see this as a real boon to the motorcycle rider. I can’t tell you how many times I have had to slip a glove under my thigh in order to secure it after removal. I never lost a glove doing this, but it would be very easy to do so. This is especially important with mittens since removing one quickly to access a small button or control is even more likely than with gloves. Having this elastic strap around one’s wrist would assure that the mitt is not lost when it need to be removed for access. What a simple, but ultimately useful touch. Congratulations Tough Outdoors for such an insightful design feature. The next thing I really like is the handy cuff drawstring. It is designed to be easily secured around the riding jacket or coat sleeve by simply pulling on the string with the other hand due to a unique arrangement shown in picture six. Observe the arrangement on the right side of the mitts in the picture. You will see that the drawstring retaining button is secured to the mitt with a strong nylon loop sewn into the mitt. This arrangement allows the string to be pulled tight easily with the opposite hand. Neat! Be aware that these mitts do run small as mentioned in other reviews. I normally order XL gloves or mittens. I do have large hands, but not excessively large. If my hands were any larger, these mitts would not fit. As it is, these mitts fit snugly, but not so much so that they are uncomfortable or would lose insulating effectiveness. My hand measures 9.5” according to the chart illustration (picture #7) for taking a measurement. According to the chart, the XL size covers a hand size of 8.9 to 9.3 inches. I would say that this is quite accurate. So, if you have a hand larger than 9.5”, I would recommend looking for a larger mitten. I have not had the opportunity to ride using the mittens in below freezing temps yet. Neither have I had the occasion to ride in wet conditions. So I cannot comment on their effectiveness in such conditions. But I’m sure I will be able to observe their performance under those conditions before long and will add to this review when I do. The construction of these mittens appears to be very good and I do not anticipate any problems. I will let you know. Having just received them, I am initially very impressed and I hope not to be disappointed. I don't think I will be.

Comfortable and good for non-frigid weather
Based on other reviews, I ordered the small M3 one. My hands are about 7 inches from my wrist to the tip of my middle finger—quite small for a man, and this size is perfect. In terms of the build quality and the protection from cold, it seems sturdy, but one of the pair has a bit of bad threading though I don’t know how it’s going to affect the wear and tear of it. It has fairly good grip, I would say, but for riding a bike, getting your fingers around the handles may be a little difficult. I don’t live in a frigid climate, but for a 30-40F environment, these gloves will keep your hands warm. Good protection against winds too. I’m happy with my purchase. They are definitely as good as advertised.

Work Well
I don't have any previous experience to say if these mittens support tough weather conditions. I got these to use while snow-blowing because I couldn't keep my hands warm with regular finger gloves - old age probably. Now, just wearing them without working? They are a little warmer than regular finger gloves but not as much as I'd hoped and wearing a thinner regular glove inside these didn't help. But while working? They definitely keep your fingers' generated heat inside to keep your hands comfortably warm. I don't have big hands but I'm glad I got the X-Large. Even so, pulling them on is a little difficult but then inside my hands would probable best fit a large. No leakage; good protection & functional; they didn't fall apart while shoveling and blowing this winter's snow/ice storm.

Great quality for the money
I was shopping for a mitten that would endure extreme cold for skiing in CO with a reasonable price, and these did not disappoint. They fit as expected and kept my hands warm in temperatures down to about 10-15 degrees Fahrenheit. Below that temperature I had rechargeable hand warmers that I slipped inside the mitten on the top side of my hand so I could manage the ski poles. My hands never got cold, and that was tested at temperatures as low as -5 F with the hand warmers. I did not experience any issues with water leaking in but temperatures were so cold everything was frozen, but the melt did not seem to leak through overnight. They were dry the next day if it did. Good grip. Thickness was as expected, and I was able to feel the grip of the ski poles through the insulation. Even though the price was inexpensive, I thought they were overall a good looking style mitten.

Mitts appear to be well made, but they size small
The sizing on these is a joke. I ordered up a size thinking I could wear a thinner glove inside. Nope, They are a good fit, without much extra room. If your hand circumference is 8", get the medium/large and worry not about the mitts feeling too big. If your hand circumference is 9", get the extra large as the med/large will be too tight. As for build quality, they seem fine. Just got'em. No telling how long they will last. Not super puffy, but enough insulation to keep your hands warm as long as the temps are above zero deg. F

Fingers are always toasty when wearing
These look good and are nice and warm. I use them when using my snowblower so they aren’t too stiff that I can’t easily use the controls.

Not long enough in fingers!
Just got the medium large and they feel nice and warm, but are too short in the thumb and fingers. I’m disappointed because the sizing is only based on hand circumference so going up won’t necessarily give me the length I need. Giving three stars because this could be avoided if the length was provided in mitten measurements. If you don’t have long fingers, these may work great!

Warm & Comfortable
I've been super pleased with these gloves. Excellent for cold, winter days. Warm enough for sledding and clearing the driveway. Very soft material on the inside. These will be a must item for my winter gear.
