I recently started using the Zoo Med Aquatic Turtle Food Growth Formula for my turtles, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results! This food has quickly become a staple in their diet. I recommend breaking them into smaller pieces for easier consumption, especially for hatchlings or juveniles. This is a great feed; it has sufficient nutrients for a growing or even an adult turtle, but it must be fed in conjunction with Banquet Blocks to supply sufficient calcium. Overall, though, it’s an incredible feed.

This has been our go to turtle food. We have a red eared slider and I've cycled through several different types of food, from several pet stores. Ultimately we landed on this one and it worked. He has never had an issue eating, he put on weight and his shell cleaned up. Also, it was the best price on Amazon. 5 stars.

I’ve been using this low-protein floating pellet food for my turtles, and it’s been fantastic! It’s perfect for my red-eared slider, and I love that it’s designed for a variety of aquatic turtle species. The lower protein content is ideal for their shell development and overall health. The pellets float well, making it easy for my turtles to eat, and I can see them enjoying it every time.

I should start by saying this "Zoo Med" brand is a good quality food for our Red Eared Slider. Found the little red eared slider laying upside down in our yard about a month ago and his shell has grown to 54mm wide (2.1"). Its main diet is Zoo Med hatchling formula (1/16" or 1.57mm) which fits in his mouth just right. As he grows to over 2" we wanted to find the next size food that's right for him. This Zoo Med "Growth Formula" pellet we just bought is too big for his mouth even though it states it's for turtles 2" and bigger. The label states the pellets are 3/16" (4.79mm) but they are actually bigger. Measured at 6 to 6.5mm which is way to big for the little ones mouth. I gave him one just to see but realized quickly it was too big and could possibly create a choking hazard. Took it out and broke it in half so he could eat it. I just want buyers to understand that it might be a little to early to feed this to a 2" or so red eared slider turtle and maybe wait until it fits in his mouth... :) In conclusion it's still good turtle food even though the measurements are not right. For now we'll keep feeding our little red eared slider his "Zoo Med" hatchling formula with occasional treats like blueberries, dried meal worms(yummy) and dried shrimp. :)

Delivery was on time and this product is always liked by my turtle. The price was outstanding.

Al principio, mi tortuga fue un poco reacia a este alimento. Estaba acostumbrada a otros gránulos y con estos tardaba más en empezar a comer. Parecían más duros de lo normal y no se los comía enteros al principio, aunque mide 22 cm de caparazón y es bastante grande. Sin embargo, después de unos días, se adaptó bien y ahora los acepta sin problema. He optado por una combinación: primero le doy estos gránulos Zoo Med y luego los que ha comido toda la vida, así tiene más variedad en su alimentación. Me gusta saber que está recibiendo un aporte extra de vitaminas y minerales con esta fórmula, además del alto contenido en proteína que favorece su crecimiento y salud general. Una de las cosas que más valoro de este producto es que no ensucia el agua, algo que me ha pasado con otros alimentos, sobre todo si la tortuga no se los come enseguida. Estos gránulos se mantienen firmes en el agua durante más tiempo y no se deshacen con facilidad, lo que ayuda a mantener el acuario mucho más limpio. En general, estoy satisfecho con el resultado. Es un alimento natural, sin colorantes ni conservantes, y eso también me da confianza. Muy recomendable para quienes busquen una opción de calidad para tortugas acuáticas, especialmente como complemento a su dieta habitual.
