- BULK SUPPLY: one 5-gallon (18.9 L) pail of 85% phosphoric acid, technical grade, packed by Alliance Chemical in Taylor, Texas
- 85% PHOSPHORIC ACID, TECHNICAL: H3PO4 (CAS 7664-38-2, 97.995 g/mol) in water, graded 85% technical as printed on the container label; UN1805, Class 8
- RUST REMOVAL AND METAL PRETREATMENT: diluted, it removes rust and oxide from steel and leaves a phosphate film that helps paint and primer adhere
- BULK HANDLING: dispense with acid-rated polyethylene or PVC pumps and fittings, keep containers closed, and store away from bases, bleach and reactive metals
- CORROSIVE, HANDLE SAFELY: causes severe skin burns and eye damage (H314), is harmful if swallowed (H302) and may be corrosive to metals (H290). Never mix with bleach. Wear splash goggles and acid-resistant gloves, use with ventilation, and see the Safety Data Sheet
