Does the job, but just not quite adjustable enough.
My wife wanted something to make her 'visible' whilst running at night (outdoors of course). I had seen things like this in REI and figured I get 2 as stocking-stuffers at Christmas - one for her and one for me that I would use on my bike commutes. It's surprisingly simple when you get it and look at it. It's a fabric band with a velcro fastener (loops through the metal clasp you can see in the picture). The lighting band runs about 2/3 of the way around the band, and the switch/battery/power is the black box at the end of the strap in the picture. There's 3 modes activated by pressing the button each time - quick 'strobe' flash, slower flash, constant on. I would say it's 'relatively' bright - in the darker nights easily 50 yards. Its effect around dusk - or any time there's much light - is definitely reduced. But I'm pretty happy with it's performance that way.I'm less happy about the 'fit'. With it fastened around my bicep and the velcro tied to the maximum, I can still fit a few fingers underneath, it is "just" enough to keep it slipping past my elbow. Now I will admit that I have biceps like 'Olive Oyl', but a bit more adjustability would be nice.

perfect for my dark walking commute
These are excellent. I can strap them to my arms or legs or just carry them as a swinging beacon. I walk from work through a very dark area and I do feel safer. I've only had them for a month, so can't speak to their longevity yet, but they seem well made and sturdy.

price is cheap but so was quality
It worked the first couple times that I wore it out running at night. But then it wouldn't stay lit up after I turned it on. I tried different things but eventually gave up and purchased a different style instead

Doesn't fit my arm!
This product is pictured with the name WALGAP on it, but that is not the same one I received. Mine has no name or logo. Also, it states 27-32 CM "customizable", but at 32 CM it BARELY closes the Velcro. I am a "medium sized" woman (take womans medium clothing) and this thing wil not really stay on my biceps area when wearing a sweater or jacket. As I am living is Alaska now, and it is dark from about 5 PM until 9 AM, and even then is not bright, I need this to walk my dog.The light does have several flashing/steady modes, and looks to be of decent quality, but just doesn't really fit.I would return it, but live in a remote area, it's pretty hard to just buy something.

should have used elastic material for better fit.
Light works well enough, but the velcro material has no give, should have used elastic material for better fit.

Great idea, poor fit
I really like this band, with some modification.ProsBright, 3 settings (strobe, flash, solid)Easy to operate and wearConsIt was so big and not adjustable enough to fit my bicep. That being said a few stitches on the sewing machine and it fit perfectly.

Great for the price, not as bright as I expected
The band is visible during the day due to the lime green color. For that alone, it is worth it. I used it couple of times for running in low light and was not impressed with the brightness during the continuous light mode. Switching to blinking mode makes it safer, IMO. Not sure if the battery doesn't have enough charge, so I will replace it and see.

This could save your life!
The arm band is well constructed, easy to adj. and bright enough to be seen from quite away at nite.
