Excellent Seiko Quality
First, this is NOT a watch for someone with large wrists or hands. It is for the small or average size individual. The leather strap is stiff but is attractive and well made. (Straps can always be replaced.) The watch is very well constructed which is typical of Seiko. It is made of high grade stainless case and sapphire crystal. The dark green dial with gold hands and markers is elegant. The magnified date window is terrific as you can actually read the date! Have not monitored yet for accuracy but given it's a Seiko, it is reasonably accurate for its intended use. The seller experience was excellent and timely. Price is very affordable for such a quality product. Good watch to start or add to a collection. Seiko gets better and better in the products they produce.

Vibrant color, Lovely watch!
Beautiful watch! Lovely vibrant color it was a gift and he loved it!! It came in a nicely packaged box completely wrapped in bubble wrap so everything was in great condition. AND arrived super early! It was estimated like several weeks delivery but it arrived in a couple days haha. Only issue I had was with the signature delivery process but that had nothing to do with them so 5 stars- Sorry I’m not good at taking pictures but he’s received so many compliments for it, and taken it out in to the beach in summer heat 90° weather and it was fine so I’d say worth the money.

Nice and Elegant
I love the simplicity of this watch and yet so elegant. Yes you have adjust the time and rotate the side pin everyday. But I love it. I was wearing Apple Watch before I was so done with it. This is about the same price. Seller is genuine and watch arrived on time. It’s been now 6 months of my usage I was lazy to write the review. Love the strap and watch highly recommend for mature people loving simple yet classy watch within affordable range. Brightness is great, time retention is reliable! Easy to read!

7.5" Wrist Size, That's About All for the Strap, But this Alpinist is a Green Gem !!!
This Seiko Alpinist is the 2020 version of one having a near 20-year run, but this one has a new internal 6R35 movement with a 70-hour reserve. You can read the reviews for the SBDC091. It's a beautiful watch with an eye-catching emerald face, a new cyclops magnifier for the date at 3 o'clock, excellent luminescence, and it is simply attractive all around. And, if you get lost in the green forest, you can use this watch as a crude compass! I really like it. Here is the 'however': I do wish Seiko would have included a longer band - say another half inch to an inch is all it would need. As it is, I have a 7-1/2 inch wrist and it's comfortable on the last hitch mark. Flexing the leather a bit near the spring pins seemed to help, but length would have made a bid difference in comfort, as I like to wear my jewelry watches over the wrist knuckle (which is more that 7.5 inches around). All in all, this is a bargain of a watch, a diamond in the rough! Build tough with screw-in crown, it's good for 600 feet of H2O. Get one, and you will be part of a cult following this Alpinist movement from the '60s. Love the looks of this watch! Update 05Jul2024 : For some reason this timepiece began losing twenty minutes per day! Started acting up early this year, so I have sidelined it. Will have to open it up and fix it. Update Nov2024 : I sent it in for repair, and turn-around time from Seiko somewhere in New Jersey was about nine (9) days. Not bad. So, now, after a $300+ experience, this Alpinist watch gains about 15 seconds per week. I believe, Seiko simply changed out the movement with another, because it probably isn't economically worth it to troubleshoot the mechanism. I am happy again, however, with the repair, I paid nearly a grand for this one. fwiw

Great looking.... But small
Excellent quality. Size seems a bit small. I have 6 ft tall and that fits on my wrist at the last notch. Would like to see a larger size on the dial as well. Like oh, I don't know 55 or 60 mm perhaps. Other than that it's very nice. Product quality is excellent. Runs for about 3 days if you don't wear it or wind it.

Did not last long.
The crown stopped working correctly within 6 months. This watch should be flawless for years. I have concerns it’s a fake.

Exceptional Quality / Value for the price
Great watch for the price. The band is really nice but takes some getting used to. Smaller than others but i knew that going in. The dimensions are clearly listed so not a big deal. Just don't care to wear my high end watches.. Draws to much unwanted attention. I enjoy these very attractive / quality automatics from Seiko and other SUB 1K options. Just don't see how you can go wrong with a watch of this quality and price

Great if you're into automatic self-winding mechanical wrist watches.
This is really 5 stars if you don't mind or even prefer automatic self-winding mechanical watches. I bought this thing because I always fantasized about one day being able to afford a Rolex, which are all automatic. This next gen Seiko Alpinist I found to be just as beautiful if not more so than the Rolex 60th anniversary Day-Date. Both have green dials and are automatic. It's as beautiful as the pics online and the craftmanship is as expected from Seiko. I give it only 3 stars because subjectively, I realized I am a Casio G-shock guy. I want my solar power and multi-band 6, automatic DST adjustment, durability, daily atomic clock synchronization etc. I tried wearing this every day but I got turned off by how it would lose or gain 15 seconds in one day and would still run out of power and stop ticking after about a week. Things I don't have to worry about with a Tough Solar Multi-Band G-shock.
