Great added lighting with such a compact pod
Flood pod ditch lights were just what I was looking for in added lighting. Pods mounted to my lower windshield of 2020 Tacoma TRD off-road. Light up the night with added supplemental when needed. Just a note that when purchasing through Amazon for your particular vehicle, you WILL need other brackets made for your make/model. Cali-raised LED will have them for you. Or get a hold of Black Oak directly and purchase as a package.

Premium quality, well-built lights. Not sure they are worth the premium over lights half the price.
These are certainly premium quality lights that are engineered well and use premium materials. The housing design is very nice and includes a one-way moisture valve on the side. In my experience even with less expensive lights they don't usually collect moisture unless they are submerged, so these should certainly remain moisture free in the long run. The wiring harness is very well done and provides ample length and wire gauge to accommodate the lights and normal mounting positions. The harness can be wired to independently run the lights or they can be wired to one switch. The light pattern is a very tight spot and at 40' is only about 5' across. It's not exceptionally bright or some exceptional pattern, just a standard round spot beam. The mounting bracket is ok but for the price I sort of expected a more complex and robust bracket like I have on other lights. This is just a common U-bracket with one bolt to mount. Overall they are certainly nice lights but for me I'm not sure they justify the price when compared to other lights that are half the price or even less. If you're building for SEMA or mounting on a submarine then go for it, but for me I just don't think I'll invest this much for future lights.

Bad customer service practices
These lights were just what I was looking for. I needed backup lights (reverse lights) for my bass boat trailer, something you almost never see.. Something that can go under water for a few minutes at a time with no worries. I like to fish at night and I always had issues backing the trailer not being able to see directly behind the boat & trailer. Not really needed at the boat ramps but my 350 foot curvy driveway that I have to back down. Let me tell you, these lights made my life so much easier and SAFER. I installed (2) of these Black Oak lights, one on each side of the rear of the trailer, I couldn't ask for more light. I DO NOT need anyone guiding me any longer. I also get a lot of attention & comments at the boat ramps that I bet that the Black Oak stock goes up at least 2% :). I do not have any complaints about this product and I bet I never do. Thank you Black Oak for making a IP69K rated light very affordable!Update:At first this light seemed very well built. I actually really liked the light, nice & heavy constructed. The reason I purchased this light was due to the IP69K rating. I needed a light that would not gather moisture in behind the lens like cheaper competitors tend to do. WE all know what happens next. So IP69K is about as good as you can get. Installed July 3rd 2018 and noticed on September 12th 2018 one of the lights had gotten moisture in behind the lens. This light has only been used maybe a dozen times and is garage kept under climate control. So it's not like it's sitting outside in the weather. So I attempted to do a warranty claim to have the light fixed or replaced. I contacted Amazon and they said to contact the seller. I contacted Black Oak LED customer service and come to find out the warranty is no good when buying through Amazon. They only way to get the light replaced is to get it replaced through Amazon. At this point I'm extremely upset. Nowhere did I see that this was documented in the add or I would of not paid that kind of money for them. I would of just went with Ridgid. Thumbs up to Amazon! They offered to give me 100% refund for the light or replace it but said Black Oak LED does not keep stock with them so a refund was my only option or keep it. So I checked on Amazon and the add said "currently unavailable we don't know when or if this item will be back in stock". So I checked Black Oak LED's webpage and WOW they seem to have plenty in stock there. I should have stuck with the Ridgid brand. Lesson learned. As for Black Oak LED, it's a shame that buying your light through Amazon makes that much of a difference on how you handle your claims. Just bad business IMOP
