This set is beautiful! I purchased the 12 inch and I love it. When it arrived I opened the box and it comes in a nice sturdy cardboard box with fitted styrofoam to store them in safely for years to come. Unfortunately one of mine looked to have been broken even before it had been packaged. (In picture) The top of his staff was inside the box he is holding and the lid was closed. So it couldn't have fallen off in shipping because of the way it was wrapped. When I opened it I could tell there was no way the lid could have opened while in the styrofoam. But I emailed the seller and they were wonderful to just send out another of the broken one. So now I have 2 Balthasar. Not sure what to do with the one. I don't feel right just throwing it away. I also love that it includes real Frankincense and Myrrh. The colors are good. Not too bright but enough to make them look nice. This is a great set that will last a long time.

I bought these last year and love putting them out again. They are beautiful, I love the hinged lids and gold, frankincense and myrrh. But the star takes away from it. For the price, they could have upped the quality on the star. I'm looking for a different star to use, one that does this set justice.

I have the full set now. It is so beautiful that we put it in our will. I just wish it was packed for delivery in a better way that conceals the content. I received it in the mail with the mailing stickers on the original box. It was also left in front of the house for three days while we were traveling. If it were put in a mailing box, it would have been the 5 stars.
