My son is almost 5 years old and he loves bats. I know this costume seems very feminine but it really is only the top part that you get, which is very cute, warm and best of all not sexy. I wouldn't dress my son OR daughter the way this little girl is dressed. If you omit the make up, fish net stockings and colored hair piece this is an adorable costume for any gender. My son will wear this with black pants and shoes.Anyway, the costume is well made and cozy. It fits tight around the arms so you'll want to use a tight fitting undershirt. I got a size medium because I wanted to be able to reuse the costume for as many seasons as possible. My son is almost 5 and of average height (by American standards) and this costume fits perfectly. I was hoping it would be too big. It is a bit long which is to be expected because I ordered a medium but the arms are just right and next year the arms will be short and the torso will be just right I'm guessing. It'll work fine for us, but I was surprised nonetheless.

Easiest costume to put on, material is thick and is good quality. True to size, had my daughter wear black shorts and tights under it and she got a lot of compliments on the overall look.

Very cute, nice material, well made, definitely for cold Halloween nights. My only complaint is the sleeves are pretty short. My daughter is 7, slightly tall for her age, but not that much. I ordered a large (10/12) because I wanted her to be able to wear it beyond this year, but the sleeves don't come to her wrists. She didn't care, she loves it and will probably wear it everyday until she can no longer zip it up, but no way an 8 year old would be able to wear a large, let alone a 10 to 12 year old.

This is a really adorable, really practical costume. I was turned off by the photo with the sexy tights and boots, but the costume itself is basically a hoodie with wings and ears. My daughter loved it, and it's perfect for cold Halloweens because she could wear it over warmer layers. With just leggings, you've got a full costume. It is completely black and I kept losing my kid in the dark, so I ended up putting glo bracelets on her ankles to fund her. It runs small - the large fit a 6-year old that normally wears a size 5/6. The only downside is that the zipper isn't great quality and kept sticking. And it's an original costume - we didn't run into any other bats at multiple Halloween events.
