Forest Patrol #27

I've become quite a fan of author Jim Kjelgaard since first reading Wild Trek. I'm currently reading the Kindle version of this excellent book and !earning much about forestry, animal characteristics and habits, and the importance of conservation presented in a very readable and engaging manner. This fine book is well written and keeps the reader engaged at all times with constantly evolving plotlines and one main underlying conflict. Very well done and highly recommended.

Another excellent book by Jim Kjelgaard, my favorite author.

It's nice to get a glimpse of an older time when one could get a job based on his reputation and the recommendations of friends. This novel has plenty of humor and adventure, and a good lesson, too. Recommended.

I have read these books written by Kjelgaard since I was a teenager. These exciting books helped further not only my reading levels during summer break, but also gave me excitement to spend time outdoors and enjoy nature. Books that you will enjoy reading over and over again.

Jim Kjelgaard is excellent here as always. This is the story of a young man who wants to become a forest ranger. He gets his chance sooner than expected, and then the hard work starts. For teens these books are great, and even as an adult I enjoy re-reading them.

Read this when I was young, and never saw it again. This is a great book for young boys and girls who like being outside and aren't finding much to interest them in the way of reading. They might need a little help getting through some older dialog language as it was written in the 40's, but still an excellent read. Seller had it off and it arrived on time and as expected.

This book is a great example of juvenile adventure fiction. Reading books like this one as a youth gave me a desire to spend as much time as possible outdoors. I once even dreamed of a career as a ranger. Now in my twilight years I regret allowing the opportunity to pass me by.
