Fitness by Cathe Starter Hand Grip (Pair)

The approximately two and a half inch bars are wrapped in black foam. The bottom ends have the Cathe name and a slight shiny coil is your basic plain hand grip. These are very nice light resistance hand grips for those trying to improve their hand and arm strength. If you were an arm wrestler or body builder, the tension on these would be too light for you, you'd probably have to do many more reps. I sit in a cubicle in front of a computer all day, these help keep my strength up. Since this came in a pair, I leave one at home and one at work. I recommend them as five stars for simplicity and price for the category they are in: simple hand grips. Nothing fancy.

I had it for a little over a month and one of them snapped. The metal just broke. Poor construction.

These seem solidly put together, and work for what I need them to.A couple caveats:-I have pretty small hands and these are only borderline large enough for me. If you have average or larger hands these will probably be too small-Not much resistance. Good for idly using at my desk, but people looking for a real workout should get something more heavy duty.For the price though, they're what I was hoping for.

The padded grips and lower strength were perfect for the exercise recommended by my physical therapist. They fit my small hands perfectly and are easy enough to squeeze without digging into my thumb. I haven't had any issue with the padding coming loose on the pair I received. Two grips are included which lets me keep one at my desk at work and one at home.

I somewhat regret not heeding some of the advice given by other reviewers on here. This product works very well, but I found the resistance to be a little on the weaker side. I suppose it depends on what you're looking for. If you just want to strengthen your wrists a little, this product works fine. But if you really want to build up your wrists and forearms, put in the extra money and buy something better. This product has low resistance and is not comfortable at all to use for extended periods of time. The grips are pretty cheap (foam) and slip and move under your hand.Take-home message: For the occasional user who isn't too set on quality, get this product, it's a good bargain. Otherwise, keep looking.

Starter=mini hand grip. This hand grip is way too small for adults. It's not full size and definitely not for big hand person.

The fact that two grippers are included is convenient -- I keep one in my gym bag and carry the other one around with me. I am a D-3 NCAA baseball player and want to improve my grip strength -- they provide a decent level of difficulty and have helped me improve. Definitely recommended for anyone who does not already possess bulging forearms.

I bought this because research indicates that they increase grip strength (to open jars) and have been shown to lower blood pressure. I use them while watching TV. They are made with quality materials and do provide a workout for my hands.
