I'm a single guy that enjoys cooking, but I especially love breakfast a couple times a week with eggs, over-easy. I've lost count of how many frying pans I've gone through in the years, but I'm so glad I tried this one from Green Pan! I recently bought a couple of Green Pan's saucepans with the ceramic coating inside, and I thought they were great - very easy to clean and care for. So I thought, "why not" try their frying pan? This pan is hands-down the best one I've had the pleasure to use. I've not had one egg break apart or get stuck to the pan, and quite frankly, the cooking surface is so slick, that the first time I was done preparing my hash-browns, when tilting the pan slightly to deposit them on a plate, they slid out so easily and so fast, that I overshot the plate with some of them - I didn't expect such an easy, slippery release! Who needs cooking oils or sprays? Not me! The pan is well made and durable, but not as heavy and awkward as it's cast-iron counterparts. It heats up quickly with even heat distribution, (I'm surprised on how well it cooks on my stovetop's "low" heat setting!) and is a breeze to clean. I'm looking forward to trying other recipes that I have steered away from in the past with my other pans, just to avoid the expected hassle. This Green Pan frying pan is a real winner in my book! Two thumbs up!

this saute fry pan has been a real game-changer in my kitchen! It's got a solid build that gives off that heavy-duty vibe, and it works like a charm when I'm whipping up my favorite dishes. Plus, cleanup? Piece of cake! It's like this pan practically cleans itself. I had mine for 2 years now, this pan is still a solid investment for any kitchen. Its quality, weight, and easy cleaning make it a worthwhile addition to your cooking arsenal. Trust me, you'll be glad to have it around when you're cooking up a storm!

This pan is so slippery food slides out of it while I am cooking! It is also a lot bigger than I expected because apparently I cannot read. However, I have been able to make it work. It heats up quickly, also cools down relatively fast (I had been using cast iron which takes forever on both counts), and cooks food evenly. Washing it is also a breeze, and coating has stayed slippery so far after several months of use. Very happy.

I had purchased a different brand of 'green' pan before, but this brand is just as good, if not better. This one is nice and big at 12" & food items still don't stick at all, even after a year of use. Still, even if you use nothing higher than medium hear, & the appropriate plastic/wooden tools & cleaning implements, eventually the coating will begin to wear if they're like my older green pans. At least because the interior is black, early wear will likely not be obvious to the eye.

The best nonstick pan I have ever used. Cooks evenly despite large 12" pan size. Handle is long enough to balance against the size without being too much and getting in the way. Everything prepared so far in it has slid right out and continues to do so after months of use. I have yet to find a scratch, it feels strong and durable with a great color. Very happy with my purchase and feel like it was a bargain for the price.

Update: A little while after I wrote my review, things started to stick to the pan. I have no idea why since, I believe I've been following the instructions. It's extremely frustrating that the pan worked so well for a while and then just stopped being nonstick. I guess the search for a good nonstick pan continues. Original Review: After purchasing another pan for the same price (that didn't come with a lid) and being completely disappointed, I did some more research to look for a better non-stick frying pan option and eventually settled on GreenPan. I found this 12" pan which included a glass lid at an very reasonable price and took a chance on it, even though 'review analysis' sites have given this product a bad rating. I'll just say, this pan is amazing. The pan is flat allowing me to cook anything that would move otherwise, the nonstick works as intended and I haven't had a sticking problem, yet, and the glass lid has come in handy on more than one occasion. The weight and heat distribution is also pretty good and the pan is able to retain some heat for a while after taken off of a heat source. The only negative I'll state is that the documentation that comes with the Pan does recommend hand-washing, even though it's dishwasher safe, but given how things don't stick to the pan, this hasn't been a big issue for me and so I just spend the minute or two it takes to clean it, by hand.

I just opened the product, and wiped it with a kitchen towel- and I can see that the cooking surface of the pan left a dark blackish residue on the tissue. I got more residue even after boiling some water in the pan and draining it out. What is it? And will there be more of this residue in my food if I continue to use it?

I've had this pan for several months and I am extremely happy with it. The non-stick is very good and requires no oil. Clean-up is a breeze. I'd happily buy more of their products.

I have used it more than a dozen times and so far, so good. Only time will tell on its durability. To extend its life, I have been careful to not over heat the pan because once you do, all fry pans quickly lose their finish. I really like the nice wide flat area, the good fitting glass lid, the light weight, and the handle. One of the best ones I have ever owned.
