I bought these plates as an addition to my other Manufacture Rock plates. I love the stylish and modern look as well as the high quality Villeroy & Boch is known for. The have a good size for soups, pasta or desserts. All my guests loved them.

What’s not to like with this beautiful V&B vessel? Exactly what I wanted. Matte black, interesting texture around a wide rim, and a deep bowl to give wonderful background for plating beautiful food. Washes well. It’s a great discount price from full retail.

The plate is as nice as you hope from The picture and description. It feels like slate and kind of fragile. Don’t leave it in the sink! The packaging was beyond abundant! Half the price must be in the packing. Wrapped in some kind of stiff cardboard mesh and then bubble wrap. Not even ups could break this thing. Should work great for my food channel presentations.

Love this bowl for several dishes.. great fun for shrimp cocktail , soup and put your bread on the rim …. Fun to have on the table for different dipping causes… deserts etc

I am a food photographer, and I love these deep dish bowls. I was concerned that they might be fragile, but that proved NOT to be the case.

We bought these as a treat to make some special mealtimes at home as we can't go out to restaurants. They are lovely plates. Obviously very well made, I worry that the matte effect finish might stain but I think that's more my paranoia than fact. We wash them by hand and treat them delicately.yea they're a bit expensive if you think they're just bowls but we bought them to be a feature of the meal. I was however very surprised that they just came in a single layer bubble wrap bag and no box or much in the way to protect them. I am amazed they survived the delivery but thankfully they did. We've wrapped them in cloth and stored them properly to make sure they don't chip or break. It would have been nice to have them in their own box for the price.

I bought two of these to try out. I use it for white fish over vegetables and pasta. The amount of food that fits into the centre of the bowl is sufficient for a meal. A lovely plate, super quality.
