**Q: is this compatible with nitrocellulose lacquer?**
A: yes, thats exactly how i used it. it doesn't take much and do in several coats. apply in thin coats. put in the sunshine to cure

**Q: Hi, if i stain the wood with aniline dye before then what? if it’s resin based i take it staining after will be unsuccessful?**
A: Im not 100% sure what an aniline dye is. But ive used solvent and water based dyes and as long as you let it dry before you apply the grain sealer, the resin bonds too good. I haven't tried it with an oil based stain yet. My main uses has been guitars and anything to achieve a glassy level surface over wood

**Q: What is Shelf life once opened?**
A: I bought mine in July 2021. It is still in liquid form, so I would assume its still good. It comes in a light-proof plastic container. As long as not exposed to UV, I would think it would be good for a while.

**Q: Will this work to protect out door butcher block?**
A: Hi This is really not designed for that purpose. A butcher block SHOULD be oiled only.A resin surface will crack if hit by chopper

Excellent sealer. used on maple post timbor treatment. cured within minutes, and was perfect for my desk. very strong VOC odor. after curing, leave outside in the sun for a few hours to ensure that the VOC is dissipated.

Finally allowed me to put on my very FIRST finish, in ONE DAY, and for a total cost, (including sanding products) of approx. $90.00!!!!! Kiss "NITRO" GOODBY!!! Only had to sand down "ONE" coat to #1000, and Buff-out!

I know this must be a great product but the smell will knock you out and does not go away very quickly. So if this is an indoor item it will need to a lot of airing out time. It needs several coats to fill oak grain. I ended up using aquacoat and had better result with no smell.
