Fab for home steaming of hair
Bought this for steaming my natural afro hair at home. Not sure what category my hair falls in as I could never understand 3c, 4c etc hair. My hair is a mixture, not thick but not thin either. Use distilled/purified water, the product generates a good amount of steam and lasts for approx 30 mins. The hood isn't adjustable, i.e. you can't raise or lower the hood, so you need a chair that fits comfortably under it. You can control the amount of steam by using the vents in the hood. The only drawback is that the steam doesn't really get to the back/nape. Therefore having done the front of my hair for 10 mins, I then switched my body around to let the steam reach the back of my hair for the other 10 mins. Easy to dissassemble and clean afterwards, remember to drain the water from the hood and wipe clean and the same for the main part where the water is heated. Drain the water, but don't touch the glass, as the water will be hot and leave to air dry and pack away. Please Note: I wouldn't recommend using tap water with this product, as tap water has minerals which may damage the heating components over time. Plus distilled/purified water is not as harsh and made my hair feel soft after use. I finish of by rinising my hair with lukewarm/cool water to seal the cutucles and lock in the moisture. Overall, quite pleaased with the product.

Great product!
Top quality product which is definitely worth the money. As mentioned in other reviews, the hood isn’t deep enough and this made it difficult to steam my hair as it only steamed the front and top of my head. I kept having to change position so the steam could reach the back and sides of my head. Overall the product is easy to use and the quality is fantastic. I highly recommend it!

Used once and it broke
Got this product for my daughter. I used it once tonight on her for 10 minutes. Must say it worked well but now it won’t turn on again. I tried changing the water as directed but still doesn’t work. Absolutely gutted! Won’t purchase this one again.

Fantastic! Saved so much steaming at home
Love this! I was about to book a steam treatment at the salon (£75) I’d had this steamer in my basket for months, and thought it makes more sense to buy the steamer and do my hair at home! I have 4b/c hair which has been suffering dehydration for so long. I have been steaming for 4 weeks now (weekly) for 30mins and can see an amazing improvement with my hair now maintaining moisture for upto 5-6 days! Before using the steamer it was bone dry one day 2! If you are not sure about this… take my word for it, BUY IT! Your hair will thank you. You will not be disappointed. Plus it packs away small so doesn’t take up much space! I haven’t used the face steamer yet…

Easy to assemble but the hood is not deep enough
I purchased this during the Covid pandemic back in 2020 and it is still working. I ensure that I always use de-ionised water. I found it easy to assemble, dismantle and reliable. However, I too, find the hood too shallow - I feel the steam mainly reaches the crown of my head and not the edges. I end up adjusting my position to try and treat the other parts of my head which is not ideal. But am I ready to pay £500 for a more professional steamer? Hmm.

Great steam quality
Flimsy parts. Mine broke the first time I used it. Cheep plastic parts. But fantastic steam output.

Good investment
Please I bought a steamer I can put on the table instead of a standing one, as I can put it back in its box after use. Easy to assemble and clean. Emits a good amount of steam. It stopped working after the second use, as I poured ice cold water in the steamer instead of tepid water. It blew the fuse. I contacted the supplier, who told me to change the 1amp fuse that's underneath the steamer. (Not the plug). I've had no problems with it since. Really good buy.

It’s a bit fiddly, but definitely worth getting
I wasn’t sure about the mixed reviews on this. Cons: it’s fiddly to put together, water capacity small and you do have to drain the residue throughout the treatment. Pros: my hair feels amazing, the dome is small but you can make it work, and it’s saving me a fortune at the hairdresser. Plus it’s compact and can be packed away. Great is you have Afro hair Iykyk. I really do think this is a good investment (let’s hope it lasts)
