Great product for cleaning record stylus
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I saw a similar product recommended by a YouTube record collector as one of his top 3 tools for maintaining the vinyl music system. I looked around and this one is much less expensive than the one he recommended and it has very high ratings. I am happy with the product and how it performed, works great on getting dust off my stylus. Make sure you follow the recommendations on the card, it should work a long time.

Good cleaner
I used this cleaner yesterday. In all my years of playing records (over 35 yrs), I've only ever cleaned the stylus once that I can remember. I had a stylus brush in my earlier years. Now, that I'm older, I thought that I needed a safer method of cleaning the stylus. I wouldn't dare use a stylus brush these days. This product fit the bill very well! Very easy to use. I don't see the dust on the stylus anymore. Very Happy!

Startling improvement. This thing is terrific!
'Space-age' technologies are always advertising and claiming this and that - from lens cleaners to pens etc etc.- but I WILL say that this thing IS amazing. I would never have believed that just letting the stylus 'dip' into this gel three times would make such a significant difference to the sound of my system, but holy cow, it SURE DID! I don't know what the heck that gel stuff is, but it IS amazing. I would love to view the 'before and after' through a high power microscope, now that I've heard the results. Everything sounds so much cleaner, clearer, less 'distorted' and more 'real' having used this cleaner. (no, honestly!) I'm not imagining it because I was even wondering if my stylus was due for REPLACEMENT (yikes- costs a damn fortune!!) but there was a real smile on my face when 're-listening' to recordings which suddenly seemed to materialize with new depth and realism and I realized that such a crippling outlay would NOT be necessary! It really DOES work better than the softest of brushes and air blowers and cleaning fluids and ...... quite simply, this is the best. The one thing I will say is that this is awkward to place correctly. The height of my platter is too high for my cueing mechanism to be effective so I have to place the cartridge on the gel by hand, and I don't have the steadiest! But it's ok because... IT'S SOFT.... and so far, has produced only brilliant results. I tried on the plinth too and that.... is too LOW! Ha! So I have to lower it by hand, but as long as I'm careful, it seems to be fine. Another thing is MAKE SURE you remove ALL the protective covers covering the gel. There are TWO!!! I did but I nearly missed it as the 'inner' cover is so transparent you might not notice it! Also, when you clean this thing, DON'T use a cloth or rag as the fibers will cling to it. I use my sinks spray gun attachment and that works really well. You can use a mild soapy solution (like those gel roller things) and then rinse with clean water. That works well. Leave it to AIR dry and this thing should continue to perform well for years. I can't stress enough the difference it made, and once used to 'carefully placing' the arm/cartridge on it, isn't that big a deal to use. Very impressive performance.

I have been using this product to clean the stylus on my Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge and am very pleased with the results despite my initial scepticism. Close inspection of the stylus after cleaning using a loupe shows that the vast majority of debris is safely removed leaving no residue. I would definitely recommend this product over the more expensive versions on the market.

I bought this stylus cleaner as it looked like a cheaper alternative to the Onzow Zero Dust or DS Audio cleaner, which both use a similar concept. It’s cheaper for a reason - it doesn’t work! A stylus cleaner has only one job - to clean your stylus. This doesn’t do that, and in fact makes your stylus dirtier! The gel used used here is sticky, and leaves your stylus coated in a residue which attracts more dust. You can test this very easily - just run your finger over the gel, and you will notice a tacky, sticky film covering your finger. At best, this will ruin your records. At worst, it will ruin your stylus and cartridge. Keep this as far away from your stylus as possible, and pay the little bit extra for a quality cleaner.

Promptly delivered. A wee bit larger than expected(in a good way), and very tacky. I don’t yet know how long it will stay this way, but having used this item for a couple of weeks, I would recommend the hudson hifi stylus cleaner over the onzow zerodust(yes i also have one of these). Both are good products that do the job, but the hudson is my preferred stylus cleaner.
