First read the manual to get familiar with the unit and controls, then flush the unit well before first use! I flushed my unit through 4 or 5 times to rid the plastic taint form the unit (you can smell the plastic taint in the water fade with each flush - be very careful though as the water is very HOT!). I think I went through 2/3rds of a tank of water to clear the issue. So far the unit has only been used to make espressos and no plastic taste was noticed. Apart from espresso, the machine will also facilitate cappuccino, latte, Americano, flat white, mocha, and will even give hot chocolate a nice touch (according to the manual). The unit looks and feels a quality build even though it doesn't weigh very much, and of a small but practical enough size for a standard kitchen. Not being much of a milky coffee lover, the frothing wand hasn't been used yet. Having procrastinated for quite a few weeks being put off by negative reviews of many brands, I was a little reluctant to take the plunge, but if you follow the above regarding flushing the unit well, you should have good results. Use a good coffee bean, and grind for espresso, otherwise the grounds can 'cake' in the filter. If you find the coffee splashes during the pour, simply wipe it with a damp cloth once the pour has finished - many people have complained of coffee staining due to splashing, but it's common sense really.

The first one I received did not work and I had to contact customer service to get support (really good customer service and functional willing to understand the problem and offer the best solution to their customers) the coffee machine is good and does what the seller described, the coffee is good and creamy (although this depends on the coffee and not the machine itself), the power is one of the best making the milk foam really thick and creamy, but now we come to the sore points there are exceptions that do not make it perfect, 1- the joint of the coffee arm in the machine is defective, often it doesn't close properly and the coffee spurts (but I don't know if it's only mine or if it's a factory defect) 2- if you take the light colour like the one in my case the dirt is very difficult to remove, and if you remove it the halo remains in plain sight 3- the way to fill the tank with water is really inconvenient

This coffee machine is sooo cute and makes such a great espresso.I am working in a coffee shop and I can say it make such a good espresso and for this price is bargain. Totally recomanded!!!! Also for those who said the water pump is not working I need to mention that there is a little rubber lid that needs to be taken of from the bottom of the water tang to be able to circulate the water in the machine.First I thought the same why is not wirking but look a bit ,you'll figure it out.Very simple to use 😍😍😍

I've really tried to get on with this product and questioned whether I was doing something wrong as it simply seems incapable of making a decent coffee. For comparison, my previous coffee maker broke after 6 months and had to be returned but the one before that lasted 33 years before it started leaking steam. Both machines made a good cup of coffee and were easy to use. My issues with the Swan machine are as follows: 1. The temperature gauge doesn't get to the 'cup' symbol before the green light comes on and the heating stops, so the coffee is weak and quite watery. 2. The machine is bulky (yet light and plasticky,) yet only makes a double shot, so it is useless for more than 2 people or one person who needs a caffeine hit. 3. The coffee holder locks tight with the hear and is nigh on impossible to remove after use. I have to wait until the machine has cooled down, which takes about half an hour. All in all it is a white elephant which looks pretty but fails to fulfil its only purpose of making coffee. I have gone back to using my stove top coffee pot whilst I work out what to do with this piece of junk.

I am obsessed with this, one of the best purchases I'v made. It looks amazing on my kitchen worktop. It makes beautiful flat whites and cappuccinos.

Bought it for my dad and he is happy with it but it does stain very easily. It looks like it was found in a skip now. The Swan logo also fell off.

Saw a review from a pro on YouTube after I bought this and was worried . But it works! I can make a lovely coffee (to my taste) and I’m getting the hang of making latte art ! It’s a bit annoying having to wait for the steam wand to function from the initial pour of the coffee but it’s only a few seconds so enough time to get milk from fridge . Yeah the cream material plastic is a bit annoying cause the coffee has stained it. Coffee stains if it splashes . I rested an empty puck on the top and it stained the top too! Doesn’t stop its function! But after all I paid like £90 for it! It’s not a £500 sage unit! The buttons are easy to use and I enjoy making coffee with it ! You need to get yourself a metal jug !

A great coffee machine for the price

The color was beautiful and the dimensions as advertised were correct. However it wouldn’t get hot enough or build enough pressure to steam nor would the gage work. Shipping is pricy so be carful what you order.

Elle mignonne assez facile d'utilisation il m'a fallut du temps pour le mousseur que je n'utilise plus car trop contraignant. De plus elle fait un bruit monstre . Il lui manque un broyeur cela la rendrait à mon sens plus complète vu le prix . Lidl fait exactement la même pour 70 euros !!!!

This item should not be for sale in the US market, or at the very least should clearly state in the facts that it is wired for the UK and cannot be plugged in without voltage transformer (and may or may not work correctly even with that). Product looked nice, Very disappointed I can't use it.
